I received an email just a little bit ago with the judges award for Best Interpretation of Theme for the quilts entered!

I have to agree because when I first opened the email when the quilt was submitted... My thoughts were "NOW, this is one weird quilt"!

Super job WENONAH!!!!!

Yay, wenonah! Personally, I thought she was adorable checking out her jewelry. That's my kind of octopus. Love it.
Congratulations! Another winner.

What a surprise! I didn't expect to even place in the contest. This was my second idea, the first one, I just couldn't get my head around how to make it work. Maybe if we have another round of 'weird quilts'.

I have DGD's who love shiny, glitzy things. Came across the octupus picture and there it was. I used my scrap bag of satins etc. And their supply of beads and stones, and there it was. Very fun to work on. It's hanging in my computer room now. Thanks all of you. Jackie
