You get an email, someone tells you about a quilt block/pattern/how-to. So you check it out and then you find something else that's interesting and you check that out, where you find something else and you're off again. That happened to me this morning.
I received an e-mail notice that the 'first' edition of "Quilty" magazine from Fons and Porter was coming out; wouldn't I like to be one of the first.....etc. I didn't know they had this magazine, either. I really need to go to a quilt shop one of these days and check this stuff out; I am sooooo behind. BTW, it looks like a pretty good magazine. And this demo has a nice quilt pattern in it.
So off I go, checking out this magazine and I wound up on Mollie McJohnson's(?) blog and is linked as http://blog.maryquilts.com/201.../16/quilty-magazine/. If you haven't been there, you should go. She has some really neat patterns, tips. She appears to like strong colors, large blocks. She also appears to love string quilts.
Boy, do I ever know how it goes. But, I find it strangely reassuring that I'm not the only one who's so easily distracted. Need a message board for coping skills to help me get/stay on track at least part of the time.
My #2 son had to go by JoAnn's tonight and called to see if I wanted anything, I asked him to look for this magazine and it wasn't there. Even had a clerk help him look for it. Guess I'll just have to keep checking it out on the Internet.
