Have made log cabin quilt before but recently saw a trendy quick blanket quilt made from four layers of material sewn together with stitching an inch or so apart throughout. Then you cut down the middle of the top three layers. Had to cut on the bias (no ravelling threads). Gave a different effect. Has anyone on this board ever seen one or a pattern???

I think you might of seen a faux chenille quilt. I have made a few baby quilts like this. Google Faux Chenille there a lot of pictures.

The chenille method was demonstrated on Simply Quilts. Here's links to the show segments. It's on my "list" too.

I have made a few of these Faux Chenille quilts and they turned out great. I even bought the cutter that zips down the channels. That was a lot easier that cutting. The sewing takes time, but the cutting takes forever and your hand gets really tired!!!
