Have made log cabin quilt before but recently saw a trendy quick blanket quilt made from four layers of material sewn together with stitching an inch or so apart throughout. Then you cut down the middle of the top three layers. Had to cut on the bias (no ravelling threads). Gave a different effect. Has anyone on this board ever seen one or a pattern???This message has been edited. Last edited by: Jan.C,

No, but it sounds interesting! I hope someone finds it and posts a picture! my philosophy: there are no real mistakes in quilting, just design opportunities!!

The chenille method was demonstrated on Simply Quilts. Here's links to the show segments. It's on my "list" too. http://www.hgtv.com/video/fast...lts-video/index.html http://www.hgtv.com/video/fast...ts4-video/index.html http://www.hgtv.com/video/fast...ts2-video/index.html ~karen

I have made a few of these Faux Chenille quilts and they turned out great. I even bought the cutter that zips down the channels. That was a lot easier that cutting. The sewing takes time, but the cutting takes forever and your hand gets really tired!!! Susan

Thank you all so much for pointing me in the right direction. That's exactly what I was looking for.
