I've got a question re: online quilting &/or crafting groups (i.e. Quilters Club of America, Craftsy, etc.) & those among us who are members of these groups....

Do you enjoy these groups? If a membership fee is required, is it worth the cost?

I've been thinking about joining Quilters Club of America, but I still can't decide if it's worth it. Any words of advice that you could share would be most gratefully appreciated!

Happy Stitching All!
Susan

I did join a couple of classes from Craftsy, but I am too busy or lazy to partake in any group things and so I shy away from groups. That is just my personal opinion. I can return over and over to the classes so I am sure I will get my monies worth from them. I did purchase them when they were on sale. Not sure if this is a help or not. Just my humble opinion.

I love Craftsy!
I have taken several classes and have never had to pay the full price.
Love the way the classes are set up, go at your own speed.
Also, Craftsy sends you great buys on supplies of the crafts you are interested in.

Quilter's club of american is worth every penny!

You get a 10% off total card for Joann's. That alone pays the $25.00 club fee. I just bought some books from them at member pricing and saved about $20!

I agree with whats been said. I like the classes Crafty has. I have taken several and yes I have gone back and reviewed them. Quilters Club of America is worth it, too. I use the Joann's discount all the time.

Sew, sew, and sew some more that's my motto!

I haven't taken any crafty classes but membership is free so I enjoy 'looking' at all their goodies.

FYI: we have a guild member that works at joann's & she informed us that If you are a member of any quild you can get a 10% discount card from Joann's. Just show your current membership card (which one of our guild ladies prints on her computer).

I have never taken a class at Craftsy either, but I keep hoping I will be able to when I have more money. I love looking at the goodies, and seeing the classes that they offer.
