What a beautiful quilt show. I'm always amazed at what people can do with fabric.

I've gotten through about a third of them. Lots of imagination and talent shown there. I'll take a look at more later. Thanks for sharing these with us.

The quilt with the old sailing ships was a favorite. I hope it won a ribbon. You had a 2nd photo of it with a couple in front of it among the last few dozen pictures.
Do you know which ones took the ribbons?

KC, thanks for taking the time to show us the Quilt Show. You took a lot of photos of some very beautiful quilts. I'm liking the scenic and portrait quilts, but they are all quite beautiful and I know I couldn't be a judge to pick the best one. Thanks again for sharing with us. Pat

There will be more posted later.

Quiltbea, the sailing ships was done by a chapter friend of mine, Ethel, and the quilt was shown in a special exhibit. Each year, one area of our large state is selected for the "Meet the Quilter" honor. They must have a large body of work to choose from along with many specific guidelines to work with. Unfortunately, any quilts shown in this special exhibit cannot be shown in the show. The quilt took her two years to make and every ship was researched to be exactly as the original. This was made for her husband, Albert, who chose the fabrics. Another quilter, who happens to live next door, Carole, was also showing her quilts. I'll be posting more pictures as soon as I can.
