| There will be more posted later. Quiltbea, the sailing ships was done by a chapter friend of mine, Ethel, and the quilt was shown in a special exhibit. Each year, one area of our large state is selected for the "Meet the Quilter" honor. They must have a large body of work to choose from along with many specific guidelines to work with. Unfortunately, any quilts shown in this special exhibit cannot be shown in the show. The quilt took her two years to make and every ship was researched to be exactly as the original. This was made for her husband, Albert, who chose the fabrics. Another quilter, who happens to live next door, Carole, was also showing her quilts. I'll be posting more pictures as soon as I can. |
