My daughter is a senior in high school but is also taking classes at our local community college. She has had the same prof for Comp I and Comp II. He told them about his two year old son, Eli, who has leukemia so I did what we do and made him a quilt! Eli has an older sister so I made her a pillow case. My daughter showed me pictures of the children enjoying their gifts. The prof said that Eli spread the quilt out on the floor and started to leave the room. They asked where he was going and he said, "To get a pillow!" He told them the quilt was "cozy." They have no idea where he heard that word! Emmy liked her pillow case, too. Just made my day!

I love everything about this story (except the reason for the need of a comforting quilt) - first, that you made a quilt for him and a pillowcase for big sis, but also for his reaction.
