Warm Buns, I haven't done any quilts with fleece backings but I've done quite a few with Minky and never have any problem with stretching. Florida Farm Girl, that is a panto.
I have been cutting out quilt pieces when possible today. I hope to sew some more together tonight. I am working on a Victorian Melody queen size quilt. It is now time to start dinner so may not get back to the sewing machine.
I've been searching all over [JA's, 3 LQS] for some neat border prints to make 1 of those table toppers and couldn't find any that I liked. Went to a retreat, came home and unloaded and there on the top of a pile [in my sewing room] was a nice Christm@s border print....where did it come from?? I didn't have my Christm@s prints out...they are in a tub under my cutting table! Someone must've been going thru my fabrics while I was gone...lol! I'm going to make a topper when I get a couple of other things made 1st.
Anyway, at the retreat I took this HUNTER'S STAR project to work on, that I started in June of 2010 [took a class to learn how to make it]. I didn't work on it much at the retreat cause did other things but today I sat down and made 3 more blocks...this pic is only 4 blocks that I had done from the class...now have 7 blocks complete! I think I need 15 or so to make the size quilt that I want.

Everything is so beautiful I still have not figured out how to post pictures on this thing. I guess some of us are just slower. I'm going to have to get my hubby to help me.
I love those table toppers also but I didn't go to Branson can you forward me where I might find the pattern.
Wow I love this thread and look forward to it every week. Great projects y'all. Thanks for sharing. I too would love to learn how to make the table topper. Plus, looks like there might be a better way to make the Hunter Star without paper-piecing which is how I have done it in the past.
Bozie, I attended the Houston International Quilt Festival last Friday. I was so hoping to be able to purchase another one of your minis but there were no minis to be had. Your minis are just too popular. However, I did just register for the new AAQI Newletter in hopes of winning the gorgeous Bright Star mini you made that is being offered in a drawing. It is phenomenal and I am so glad I got to see it in person. I don't know if you shared a pic of it or not because I do not recall seeing one. Everything on that quilt is mind-boggling beautiful. Thanks for all you do for AAQI to benefit the Alzheimers organization. BTW, met some really nice ladies working the AAQI sale. Lots of flattering words for you.
I haven't checked in several days and there are so many projects posted, I dare not comment on any except to say KC, you need to teach those doll sleeping bags on PJ Party nite in January so we can start making them for next year.
All the quilts and mats and projects are just wonderful so far. Love them. Keep up the good work.
Sewlove ...I just came across that pattern in A Christmas F&P issue from a couple years ago...set it out to look at closer...I do love that pattern and your color choices.

Carol, the quilting in that first picture, is that the quilting done on the log cabin quilt? I love the log cabin quilt and the pinwheel is nice too! I find myself leaning more toward two color quilts more and more every day! Did you move to the same town?
Love the table runners, esp. the last one with the stone henge fabric. Would look great in my dining room....with a little more teal! So where do we get the pattern? That would make great Christmas gifts!

Devonne,Sister Sue made the stone henge table topper. She took the class at Branson, I know she has sent out a number of paper templates to those who have asked for them. She just made a small one yesterday and it is so cute. She is loving how they go together like magic. But they do waste a fair amount of fabric. LOL Leftovers for scrappy quilts.
Devone, the quilting on the red fabric is the back of Britgals quilt I quilted. Showed the back because the quilting showed better than the front. The log cabin quilt has Baptist Fan quilting.
Susan, Thanks for your kind comments about my little quilt and your continued interest in AAQI. They did really well in Houston this year - in round numbers 1600 quilts sold and $75,000 raised. None of mine were included in the sale this year since all that they received in time for the deadline for going there were already sold ahead of time. Someone did come to the booth and offer a large amount of money for the one you saw that is being given away.

LOVE this posting,look forward to all the beautiful eye candy.Carol your quilting is amazing and if I ever get lucky enough to get crown royal done I would be so honored if you could quilt it.Do you have mats to stand on??? If I would of had this quilting passion when I was youg enough and had ** enough I'd love to try LA.
