From when we started this at the first retreat in Minnesota and many of us were cutting out our blocks (pieces) there..I have finally regained some steam and completed the top today! I have the backing fabric and a saved piece of the original fabric. Here tis: oh of course, ACE had to go on there with his squeaky toy. Same as a cat would. This message has been edited. Woo-hoo... congratulations! It's a beauty!
You know, I still have one of those somewhere. As I recall, it just needs the border... duh! I should find it!!
Very cute assistant!

OO I found the cutting out picture and I'm using the 60 deg. triangle to fussy cut the piece I guess. I'm sure I have more of Maxine R.'s pictures too.

Oh that is pretty, like your original fabric. Doesn't it feel good to finish something that has been on the back burner for so long???
Yes, but it grew bigger than I thought it would be. Oh well. That's a lot of small pieces.

That came out great!!!!! Love the extras overlapping the border!!

Congrats on finishing the top. Like the colors and the spill over the border.

Yeah, I remember that fabric, beautiful! Yours turned out great!!! I like the "spillover" on the corners! I see mine...every time I'm in my sewing room.... sitting there... in it's little basket....all cut out...

Cute assistant Beautiful quilt!

That turned out really pretty - congratulations. I did see my bag of pieces the other day when looking for something else. Maybe if I take it out and work on it in little chunks of time I can finish before it disintegrates
Merci beaucoup. If you take it a step at a time and not want to rush it, it's enjoyable. I'll post a link to a man's OBW's that he sells I guess and he just can't get enough of 'em. Hang on a minute while I go get it, here it is ...http://www.bruceseeds.com I hope that comes out for you..I copied and pasted it and it didn't have all the right information. They're worth checking out. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Auntie Reba,

Definitely worth the look, ladies. THESE are incredible!!!
Fabulous job Cheryl! I remember that Retreat - my first time meeting you! If you want you can come work on mine - I got as far as doing all the fussy cutting and haven't touched it since
"She said she usually cried at least one each day, not because she was sad, but because the world was so beautiful & life was so short"
I am pinning it now and I work 20 mins. on it and stop. It's so tedious. The thing is much bigger than I expected and I didn't use all the cut blocks. But Nicki, I DO love that iron!
