I haven't posted much here in the last 2+yrs due to illness. But I'm coming back (I hope).
I made this easy/simply baby quilt and pocket book pillow for a friend of my DD#1. I also made flannel blankets and display frame but forgot to take photos (shoot).
The quilt photo was take before I had stitched down the binding. I used minkee from Joann's on the back so I stitch binding down on the front when minkee is the backing.
Did you quilt this on your regular sewing machine? I am trying to learn FMQ so I have been trying to notice the quilting and not just the colors and pattern when I see a quilt.
Your quilting looks nice -flowing and relaxed. Do you use any special type of thread for that?
Thank you very much ladies. I make alot of baby quilts with matching pillow.
Jeepdarla I have a longarm, Nolting 24" PRO,for my quilting. I only quilt for myself, no customers. I use Superior SoFine on the top and Superior BottomLine in the bobbin. Thank you.
Twostep those are adorable. I am sure those will be a treasure to the receiver. Glad to hear you are doing better and able to be back on here. Hugs, Maggie
