Loved my Jem Gold but it didn't have the trim and stitch. It was their first lightweight machine and I gave it to my daughter as her first machine. Going ten years without any repairs (unlike my 7700).
I don't have the Janome, but have its cousin - a Kenmore mini elite, made by Janome, just with a different case on it and a different name. Same stitches, same set up, same weight, etc. Has a beautiful stitch and is really strong for its size. Its not my regular machine, but my take along and backup machine and I love it.

I totally forgot about that machine, Sears used to sell it. it is a great machine, we had a few of them at our sewing group, meeting place. it's would go on sale for $49 occasionally!
