GeeGeeQuiltswhen all else fails...read instructions...LOL!!!!!! Re: new/old Featherweight
Thought I was smart..Thought I knew enough not to have to look at instructions. After 30 minutes of trying to get Featherweight "Mama" threaded (unsuccessfully I might add) I decided to look at manual. Sigh..................It PLAINLY said to thread needle from right to left NOT left to right the way my Babylock does. After calling myself unflattering names I decided to just laugh it off. WHat else an you do?
So what kind of "Duh" things have you done lately?

tinbrenI made a border for my sisters quilt. WAY above my talent. three corners worked out one corner just gave me a fit. I worked with it until I was ready to toss the entire quilt in the trash. finally I just sewed it together and appliqued a butterfly on the corner that was ugly. If you cannot fix camafloge.

KeepYouInStitchesSIL and I did the same thing with her Featherweight "Miss Mae." Per my instructions, she inserted the needle and threaded it the same way as my old 1952 Singer. While she was working with tension, etc., I pulled up a manual online. Before printing it, I read out loud to her how to insert the needle and thread correctly. shrug It's so easy to let that little dab of testosterone that our bodies manufacture to take over the "Manual? I don't have to read no dumb manual" syndrome.
