What do all those abbreviations I see mean? DH is? I know it is not dead husband, because he would not be able to appreciate quilts or do jobs around the house if he had passed.....I know DIL is daughter in law....but could someone make a list? Thanks!

Just remember I only copied the list, I didn't make the acronyms up. Those that did shall remain nameless....I hope!!!

Shogun, no one around here is ignorant because there are no dumb questions. Some of us just need enlightenment once in awhile. I know I got a great education when I saw that list originally. lollllll I got sore sides from laughing at it, also.

The "D" in DH, DDIL, DM, DS, DD, etc. is subject to change depending on what the husband, daughter-in-law, mother, son (or sister), daughter, etc. are doing. At the moment DH and DS are all dear, but this can change if they opt for stupidity. (Stupidity = "not MY way".) Big Grin

It is very interesting! Some of these reductions are applied even in Russian forums, but many people at all do not know their value. Certainly, hardly I shall remember all of them but have read Big Grin

Oddly enough, in our local paper today, they were discussing texting and the abbreviations that have come to be. (Very few of the abover were on the list, but what do they know????)

DS (Dear Son today) was laughing that I could figure out so many of them and said "Don't tell me that I'm on the computer too much. It's obvious you are, too!"
