SavedSinnr sent my raffle quilt to me & it is just beautiful. It was made by Headielamar & she made a wonderful quilt with butterflies on it. For those of you who don't know, the theme this year for the Ronald McDonald House raffle quilts was "Life is like a bowlful of_________ (the quilters filled in the blank). They had to use a Crayola Crayon (color) that best represented their choice. Headie filled in the blank with "butterflies" & used blue for her color. She told me that her dad helped her design the beautiful butterflies & her mom helped her in picking out those fantastic blue fabrics. She appliqued the butterflies on with a fantastic blanket stitch & also stitched white swirls. The butterflies are embellished with beads for the bodies & antennas. The basket fabric is actually weaved in & out & finished off with ric-rac all around & a unique flower embellishment on the bottom of the bowl. The whole quilt is totally amazing & I will cherish it forever. Thank you soooo much Headielamar for all your time & work that you put into making this quilt so beautiful.

Lucky you! This is a really beautiful quilt.

I didn't see this one up close, but I thought that the bowl was made from a lacey-doily type thing.
