Can anyone tell me where I can find the ruler Bonnie talks about? I have made many of her quilts and am doing Easy Street and am wondering if this might make it faster. As I search I see something that attaches to the sewing machine? I don't get it - I thought it was a typical ruler. Thanks for your info to help with the fog LOL

There are two rulers and they are called the Easy Angle Ruler and the Companion Angle Ruler.

http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb...ngle+Rul%2Caps%2C228

There are different sizes for the Easy Angle ruler and I don't know which size she is using.

You will be using the Easy Angle ruler 6 1/2 " and the Companion Angle ruler. These can be found at Wal Mart, JoAnn type stores. Some LQS carry them.
I know Hobby Lobby carries them or can be ordered online.

They are easy to use and on her website she explains how to use them.

There are several sizes but the one above is the one she is using.

I have the Easy Angle Ruler and am looking forward to learning to use it. I have seen pics of the Companion Angle Ruler but can't find where she uses it on her website. I assume she shows using it in one of the free patterns but I don't know which one. Would someone please tell me where to look?

pvillelou ......If you go to this link Bonnie uses the Companion Angle ruler for the Hidden Spool quilt.

You can kinda get the idea behind this ruler. I have used both and they are easy to use once you get the hang of them. It does not take long to learn how to use them.

Thank you, texana! That looks easy. I still need to choose my fabrics for Easy Street but want to finish cutting a WIP so I can use leftovers from it.

I bought both those rulers when I made Orca Bay. They were a big time saver! I searched on quiltshops.com to find the lowest price. If I can't get something on sale, I can't afford it, lol.

As I have worked on different quilts, especially with Orca Bay I also used the Fiskars 8 x 8"'rotating mat, it sure helps when cutting multiple pieces of the same size, squaring up and other process of block building.

Here is a link from Amazon so you can get the idea of cost and I am posting a picture also.

I have the 12" and the 14" rotating mats and they sure are handy. My DH has given me these mats as Xmas gifts in the past, gotta love that man. He just goes to Wal Mart and looks at the notions wall and picks out what he thinks I do not have. Some have been doozies but most are ones I have really used.

Here's the direction from their website
http://www.simplicity.com/t-tu...ting-Easy-Angle.aspx

I know many people often ask which size to buy and she reccomends the 6" size over the smaller one. You might also want to search youTube and see if you can find a video? Type in East Angle Ruler in the search box.
