Anthony and his best buddy Ben, both 10, wanted to do some sewing today ..so we did pillows. Anthony got to use his mothers machine for the first time, and his pillow is made with flaps on the back and an insert. Bens is sections sewn together into a bag, turned, filled and he finished the stitching by hand. I cannot change 'things', but I can change how I feel about them. Me. GREAT! You are doing a good thing. They may 'grow' away from the machine because it's not "manly," but they are developing skills that they can fall back on some day...sewing on buttons, hemming pants, mending shirts. Tell the boys they both have nice looking pillows. I agree they will have memories of working with you. You never know what will happen, but they will remember you spending time with them. TFS | |||

Sandie, the boys did fantastic on their pillows & they will always remember the time you spent with them helping them along. How wonderful for you & Anthony to spend time sewing for so many years. I know he's learned a lot from you. And now his buddy is joinin in.....that's got to be fun for both of them (and you too!) I'm so proud of them!!! Thanks for sharing & showing us their pics.
