It is going to be hard to go into my sewing room for the next few days, My companion for the last 14 years is gone. My DH and I gave her one last ride in her truck to the doctors office She did not come home with us. We have been expeceting this for the last year. after all she was 15 years old and Rotties usually only live 10 to 12 years. She was always by me where ever I was and if I was not home she would wait outside the door for me to come home. Both my DH and I will miss her.

Thats so sad. Some days it is frustrating having to step over top of Emma or worry about the chair rolling over her tail, but I would so miss her if she wasn't here.
You'll be lonely for awhile.

How sad it is to hear that you lost your friend. We lost our little Blue Heeler about 5 years ago & it took me over 2 weeks to even tell the gals at work about her. I hope time will heal your heart.

Sending you tons of hugs for your loss. It's amazing the bonds we make with our beloved pets--always there for comfort and a rub-basically uncondition love. While the pain will fade, I pr*ay your loving memories of your time together will sustain you and your family.

I am so very sorry hearing this. Can barely see to type cos of the tears. I had to quit crafting when I lost my crafting buddy. Little Bit (a Toto lookalike) always lay in the curve of my crafting chair legs. SHe was 15 years old. No one..and I mean NO ONE..knows what it's like to lose a furbaby. A furbaby is your baby. Canine or feline. Since we lost Little Bit 6 years ago we've lost two more within a year.

Coming home alone the 1st time is harder than anyone can imagine.

Just know that there are a lot of us here that feel your pain. We love you & are pra ying for you.

BIG tearful hugs
Gina

I agree with what has been posted - losing a furbaby can be one of life's hardest trials. I am just so sorry and understand, completely, the feeling that you just don't want to go back into the sewing room. Anyone who has lost a beloved quilting buddy feels sadness at your grief.

When I lost Jezebel, it darn near put me in my grave. I grieved more heavily for her than I did when I lost my mother the year before. I don't know if it was delayed grief for the both of them or what. Our Evelyn, however, has always been my quilting buddy but it wasn't until I lost Jezebel - my heart dog - that I realized just how much Evelyn had claimed me as her own. Sad to say, I'd overlooked her. I thought Jezebel was "mine" and Evelyn was my husband's. In fact, Jezebel ran the house and I didn't notice that Evelyn - who was younger - had chosen me. I am trying to make it up to her for taking her for granted.

As I write this, she is laying near me in my sewing room and if I am fortunate enough to have her as long as you had your little darling, I am not sure I'd even be able to walk back in here. It sounds like your baby - like Evelyn - was part of your whole stitching experience. I am just so sorry for your loss.

My heart goes out to you. I don't know what I would/will do if I lost my Golden. He is with me 24/7 and inspects every new thing I make. He has a unique way of showing approval or disapproval. He is only 3, so hopefully he will be with me for many more years.

Prayers that your sorrow will lessen quickly.
