There wasn't enough interest in challenge #6 to contine with the challenges so I am going to pull the plug early and award the grand prize for the winner of the 5 challenges we've had this year

I want to thank everyone who participated - you made this fun! I loved seeing what you all came up with Smile Before I announce the WINNER, I want to remind everyone of the 5 challenge winners...

For the first challenge all participants chose a project they had started that was stashed away in a drawer, on the design wall, on a shelf, in a bin or baggie. Then they were take that item and make it new by adding to it and making it a quilt, or taking it apart and using the pieces in some other way. They could make a garment or a wall hanging or table runner out of it. Basically they could do whatever they wantent but they MUST use all of it. It does NOT have to be quilted but whatever the item is it MUST be FINISHED. The idea isn't to finish a UFO but to repurpose it.

There were no restriction on how much or how little other fabrics, trims, etc may be used.

The winner was PANDIBEAR

For this challenge everyone was sent a small priority mail box full of scraps in their color choice that my girls and I sorted through and ironed.

What they were to do with it was up to them. The only limitation was that any additional fabrics had to be solids.

The winner of challenge #2 was jayardi!

For this one I sent a fat quarter to 10 willing people who had 50 days to come up with anything of their choice. There were no restrictions except that they had to use the fq in some way.

The winner of challenge 3 was jayardi!

For this challenge we took inspiration from the song that was the number one on the day we were born. The project could be whatever we wanted as long as it fell under the category "Quilting/Needlework".

The winner of this challenge was alexemmarose w/ her work inspired by Percy Faith - The Song from Moulin Rouge (Where Is Your Heart)

Congrats Jean..you are one talented lady!! and to Lori for the Challenge..and to all the other challengers. I participated in a couple, was glad I did as it got me thinking out of my comfort zone. I have a project picked out for #6 .. and I'll continue it. My GKs are coming for a couple days (DD having minor surgery and I'm contributing to a quiet house to recover Smile ) and thought I'd have them help me lay out the pattern. Thanks again, Ali

Congratulations Jean! Beautiful challenge pieces. Thank you Lori for these challenges. I was only able to participate in two of them, day job always interferring with my hobbies, but all the challenges were great inspirations to create.
