What was that quilt shop? Sign In/Join

I'm good at Googling but I'm getting nowhere searching for this one. There was a quilt shop in (southern?) California that either specialized in 30's repros or carried a whole lot of them. They had a nice website with pictures...and I think the 30's fabrics displayed in an old "wash day" set-up. I know people on this board discussed that shop & that's how I found it. Cannot come up with the name now or find it online. Does this ring any dusty bells for anyone? Confused

One last memory flash...did they give out candy/chocolate to customers at the store & talk about it online?

No, 'cuz I've ordered from them before, and the shop I'm thinking of, I haven't.

The site was all 30's pastels & pretty pictures...??

Although their links do not seem to be working. I could not get their site tour to work today.

Thanks, but that's not the one I was thinking of either.

This one had pictures of the shop & the 30's repro fabrics. I keep thinking of an old washing machine and/or washtub, too. And the snappy name is on the tip of my tongue... Durrrr!

I already went thru my zillion bookmarks once today. Leaving to do errands now, so I'll have to try again later.

Oh yea, I didn't think about here today - gone tomorrow. Frown

Why do I keep thinking about candy or sweets or something that they might have talked about giving to customers or selling at the store, too? Durrrrr indeed...

FUDGE!

That was it -- they sold fudge. Anyone??

GOT IT!

It was the word FUDGE that gave it away!

Yep -- Cute name, lots of 30's repros, cute site with shop pictures, a LAUNDRY sign, Wash Tub prints,... And I was thinking southern CA because it was LONG BEACH, but LB in Washington state! (OK, there are a few cobwebs in the old grey matter, I'll admit!)

The shop is closed but it looks like she's still selling online:

Yea, I found it again! BIG bookmark this time! Smile

I saw that shop earlier but the "shop" was closed...didn't think about it running online sales. Plus it was in Washington...so I didn't mention it.

I'm happy you figured it out!

1/2 way down in her blog http://annalenaland.com/ is a wonderful red and white quilt show. The 4 patch looks fabulous! I'd forgotten she designs fabric. Wonder if she did the patriotic dolls shown in the shop. I have some of that and it's adorable!!!
