ACK!!!! Gotta change my goal for this week. I forgot I am teaching a mini heart basket, so I will be cutting reed all week for that. ( not sewing, but still crafty related)
"There are three kinds of people in the world. Those who can count, and those who can't."
I keep having to re-load this page??? Never had happened to me before, but Goals..... We are talking 'Goals' here.
What are my goals for this week??? Well, get through it for one thing, but seriously..... what do I want done???? I want my room to make me feel welcome, not the way I feel when I go in there now..... And I am doing things about that - BUT - that brings up all the projects I have going on!!!!
So, my goal this week? Make at least 2 star blks for my 'Bounce' quilt a day + I want to make some border pieces. By the end of the month, I want 'Bounce' to be a quilt top.
So two goals: work on room and make blks for said quilt.
And I am going to go sew right now!! (Before I see something else that will distract me.... bye!! I will be back....

I got part of my goal for the week done. Finished the pr@yer quilt yesterday and dropped it off, plus the one finished last week, at ch ur ch this afternoon.
I met my goal for this week, I have all my projects ready for camp on Thursday. Also completed part of goal from last week, I got my friends quilt quilted, will drop that off tomorrow. I did some patching and made real progress on the borders. I'm hoping by next week I'll be showing it.
My goals for the week have changed a little. I decided I want to take the quilt that was waiting on the binding to guild meeting tomorrow for show and tell. So I've been busily working on that (not quite done but will take it anyway). Also, the husband of a Sunday school class member was recently diagnosed with lung cancer so we want to do something for Judy to let her know we are pr aying for them. I have a lap quilt top ready to tie so some of the other class members will be coming here Thursday for us to do that. Then I'll need to bind it before Sunday so we can give it to her then.
In spite of all that, I'm still working on other goals a little bit too. As I said, I don't have many other things I need to do this week.
P.S. It's 11:00 PM and I just finished the binding. Yippee! This message has been edited. Last edited by: pvillelou,
Anael, that's the best offer l've ever had! l wish l could.
l'm really having withdrawals. Just knowing l can't sew if l wanted to is driving me crazy! l did cut out some more squares today so at least l was touching my fabric! LOL
====================== l would be unstopable IF l could get started!!!

Looks like everyone is doing good with their goals! I bound the quilt over the weekend, and will give it to my friend tonight. I'll get a pic of it before I give it away. I also went thru a whole stack of magazines and pulled out the projects that I want to keep, and recyccled the rest.
My goal for last week was to get the row robin row done, and yup it's completed
I also washed my 8 fabrics for the 2013 BoM on the board.
This thread is working well for inspiration and I achieved two things last week, one of which i didn't even plan for
So this week I will plan for three things I plan to make the January block for HGTV BoM, a chain block, and also cut out some 6 inch squares for the text swap Toryam is running. I figure this is doable, since the thread is good motivation, and the row robin was 4 blocks, although they were all the same - and this week is just two blocks
Nice to see how much we are all collectively getting done - especially some of the UFO projects!

I had all afternoon yesterday to quilt my two donation quilts. I went into my nice and warm sewing room, sat down and realized that I would have to change thread, bobbin and put on the walking foot first. So decided to first use up the thread on the bobbin with scrap/crumb squares. Three hours later, I was still sewing up crumbs when the phone rang. And that was that...
New goals: sew together a crumb top and quilt ONE donation quilt!

Oooh, Mountain Laurel, love your rooster quilt top. So bright and colorful. TFS. Also, I've made good progress on my list for the week. Got the Row Robin fabric cut, almost have the second sweater done, and have pretty much decided to FROG the first sweater and redo it. I really do love those colors and I want a sweater that fits. And today we're having a heat wave. It's 36 outside right now. Considering the temps have been in the teens for the past week, it's nice to have sunshine and a little warmth.
I've accomplished all my goals for this week. My skirt is a little big because I lost a few pounds between cutting it out and sewing it together. I have the sashing sewn on all my vintage kitty blocks.

Finished Jan. block for Sunshine Quilters. My 2003 quilt hit a bump in the road. Had the top and batting laid out ready for the backing. Somehow I cut it wrong and now I have to piece it. Since it's a print and I'm going to have it quilted it should look okay.
I like this thread! I like all the projects shown and completed. As a lot of have said, writing it down gives incentive to try doing what you said you would! I did finish my goals for this week. Made a chain block for the HGTV BOM and I like it! Sorted the T-shirts for the quilt a niece wants and even got fusible interfacing on some of the logos and sewed borders around them. Added on... I got some much needed mending done. My DH had a few outer-wear garments needing patches or rips sewn... finished those! You all inspire me to get things done!
I got all the blocks I'd set as a goal done +1! Yay!

Deb- I love your kitties quilt. I was able to complete my goals for this week. The BOM with chain is done and Patty J and I completed 2 quilts tops for QWL (she will post the pics) and I also finished Jury Duty. SueThis message has been edited. Last edited by: sister sue,

I posted these on the QWL thread, but Sue said I should post on our completed goal thread too, We made these tops all out of our stash. Here is the gold and black one we made.
All I got done was wash the 1/2 yards I ordered that came. A long time ago I adopted a quilter's tip that's worked for me ever snce. As soon as it comes in wash it. My fabric look so nice folded and stacked. Now to inter-sort in their places.
Can't remember what my goals were. Oh well.

Although I had several things listed as goals, some didn't take long so I did pretty well.
I'm still working on the flying geese as leaders/enders but got quite a few finished.
The samples for the mini lesson I'm teaching at guild meeting are all ready.
The Dresden plate quilt has the binding finished.
I worked on the applique for DGD's quilt a little bit but there's still a lot to do. However, I did piece three blocks for the quilt. They are the three bottom ones in this picture (she chose the fabrics and they are BRIGHT!).
I also made a couple of blocks for the raffle quilt - the top ones in this picture. I have one more almost done and that will be all I need.
Something that I didn't have on my list but added later is this lap quilt. I already had the top pieced so when some friends said we should do something for another friend (whose husband is battling cancer) to let her know we care about her, I suggested we tie the quilt. Five of them came here yesterday and in an hour and half we got it all tied. Then I did the binding last night. We will give it to her Sunday.
I did very well with my goals, I finished my second redwork block, layed out my design for the CQJP, and cleaned out the dresser! Woo hoo, good for me and every one else that met their goal!

I got done one chain block (I liked how it turned out and ready to post it when I remembered "IT"S A SECRET"). I also got my supplies together for the Initial mugrug.
