During our guild meeting. Mrs. Bobbins was called out, received 3 citations and was about to be taken away in handcuffs.

I tried to defend her, but to no avail. Then, wait a minute .... there are no quilt police. This was all just a bad dream! We woke up Mrs. Bobbins and all was well again.

Her tickets included :
Unauthorized modification of quilt pattern without proper Creative License.

Failure to prewash all fabrics before use. (But it was a jelly roll!)

Non-regulation seam allowances.

The near arrest was for having a UFO for more than 25 years.

Once we shoo'd away the Quilt Police, we could resume the business portion of the meeting.

BTW, Mrs. Bobbins has been visiting our meetings regularly this year. I love her enthusiasm and her dramatic expression. I couldn't have picked a more perfect actress.

Now that is why I don't belong to guild. I can hide in my house (or Sister Sues) and the quilt police don't even know that I exist.Smile Smile I'd be under arrest every meeting for lots of things.

But thanks for the heads-up! I'll tell DH that when the QP comes to the door that they are really vacuum cleaner sales people. That'll do it. Smile

Edited to fix a grammatical error. Smile

What a hoot! I know for a fact they patrol quilt shows, too. I got pulled over for touching my friend's quilt without white gloves on. Frown I had picked out all the fabrics for the quilt so it was partly my baby, too. All I was trying to do was show DH the label on the very tippy corner. Flipped it over and WHAM - the quilt police descended. Roll Eyes

What a great idea. Can I join your guild Seeing Stars? I could come over and visit my GGD while I'm there!

Of course you can, Navy Wife! I'd love to have you there. Elizabeth is coming in May to talk about QOV.

I've got to plan a few more skits with Mrs. Bobbins. Maybe our Maryland group will have some good ideas. Their enthusiasm and fun was what inspired me to invite Mrs. Bobbins to be a part of our guild.
