Show & Tell is our weekly sharing thread. Tell us what you've finished, what you're working on- we're here to cheer you on!

I did the last of my Christm*s (do we really need the *- would that word trigger moderation?) sewing. I got the table runners for my DD's bound, and I had got the fleece throw kits that are supposed to be no sew for the grandchildren, but I sewed them. I feel like my long missing mojo has returned from it's journey.

Who else is sewing?

Friday again already?

I'm experimenting with making a "modern" mini quilt. Not too crazy about the results so far.

I did finish this more traditional one. It's similar to the one I posted last week - 1.5" blocks on point. This one is a simpler design with a smaller number of fabrics and has lots of contrast.

Bozie, I love all your minis', and can never decide which I love the best. This one reminds me of daisies, maybe it's just me.

Bozie, Sue is on her way to Vegas, but I'm going to remember to tell her about this mini, I LOve it. 1.5 inch squares on point??? You are an awesome quilter and I love seeing what you make each week.
Bunny, yup, it does remind me of daisies.
Holly, glad you are feeling like quilting again, in case we didn't mention. Thanks for starting this thread each week. Pat

jessicasews, I thought of this story when I saw that you were finishing up those dog coats, this happened several weeks ago, someone tied a 6 month old pit bull puppy to a truck bumper and the driver did not know it and drove a mile and half before someone could stop him and tell him, this poor puppy was in sad shape, anyway he made it with a lot of scars and broken legs but they will heel, the vet helpers named him 'Trooper', there was a picture on the news this week with him and they had a 'onezee'(sp) on him and he filled it out, but I thought what a wonderful idea for a wrap for outside.

Oh, I hope that puppy heals completely! so sad to think about... A 'onesie' as a doggie jacket... brilliant!! I have friends that are recycling sweaters (sleeves) as jackets for my girl-friend's rescue pets organization - I'm still making fleece/felt jackets for them.

Here's a snapshot of the Christmas gifts that I'm making. Hadley Dog already has her Zebra-print jacket and is getting the pretty Plum-colored sweater... Hadley is a Red-Boned Coon Hound, so this is going to be pretty with her coloring.

I made Christmas stockings - 2 fish shaped and 4 bone shaped for the 2 cats and 4 dogs in our family. We have 2 cats (they share a stocking) and one dog. One DD has a dog and a cat, DS has a puppy, and the other DD has a dog. I've always wanted a bone shaped stocking for our dog and DD mentioned she was looking for a stocking for her new puppy. I couldn't seem to find a pattern I liked, so I made my own. I like how they turned out. All the bone ones are alike and the cats are also. Here's a picture of one of each.

This is my experiment in making a "modern" quilt. I'm not sure that's what it is but I am pretty sure .it isn't a traditional one. LOL I called it "Tipsy". It's made using some of the Cherrywood fabrics Sew Happy told us about.

Bunny and Pat, yes - I saw the daisies too. They appeared when I put the gold color in the star centers. I almost changed to name to something about daisies but in the end left it as "Dancing Stars".

Jill, yes it was kinda fun stepping a bit out of my usual box. But I'll probably wait to see how this one does in sale or auction before I try again. Unless I change my mind, LOL.

A dear friend just asked me last week to quilt a t-shirt quilt for her DD who was going through a rough time. It's this close to the holidays and my plate was full, but I agreed.

Had never quilted a t-shirt quilt! But after a day and a half of FMQing, here it is! My friend wanted to bind it herself so she could say that she worked on it.

What do you think?

Carolyn (MountainLaurel), the t-shirt blocks had an iron-on stabilizer on the wrong side of them to keep them from stretching. I went through (broke)3 needles as I quilted over some of the writing on the shirts! I used top-stitch needles. I watched Leah Day's freemotionquiltingproject blog to get ideas and used her paisley pattern!
