The CQ block is from the CQ Valentine Challenge that I didn't complete in time. I have titled it Love and Roses. I will include a few pictures. I have more pictures on my facebook page.

I completed this Crazy Quilt block yesterday and turned it into a pillow. I have donated it to a silent auction for a non-profit I support. Caiden's Hope caidenshope.org helps parents of babies and little ones that are in specialty hospitals away from home. There aren't always Rondald McDonald Houses or they can be full. They help with hotel rooms or gas cards,so the families can be with their little ones for extended stays at the hospital.

Here is the center of the block and you can see some of the Silk Ribbon Embroidery I did on the block. I had the beaded lace which I layered over bronze silk dupioni. I then added the love birds charm, various trims and small gold beads.

this is another angle of the right side of the block. I did a beaded sunburst with ribbon stream on either side. I used 4 different threads of the stream plus some size 8 ab topaz seed beads.

You can also see the dyed rose lace at the bottom that I enhanced with Swarovski glass pearls and transparent gold seed beads.

Here is the left side of the block. Here I did a long Ribbon swag type treatment. I did some silk ribbon embroidery, added ribbon roses and flower beads of various types.

It is just beautiful. So glad to hear from you. I have not been on MB much, with working and all. I am a grandma now and have been making baby quilts
