This is our new sharing thread. Share with us your goals for the week. Goals can be as tangible or intangible as you want them to be, as vague or as specific as you want.

I'm working on turning a pile of jeans into 6 inch denim squares. My goal for the week is to continue to do a little cutting each day, depending on how my old knee holds up- it doesn't like standing still much.

I took a pic of the before piles, and I'll be back tonight to post them, when I have more time.

So what are your goals for this week?

Holly

My goal for this week is to jump over the mental hurdle I've set up and quilt a quilt top that's already loaded and waiting on the frame. Smile

Looking forward to everyone's strong finishes this week.

Start designing the top for the Sandy Hook Memorial Quilt. PM all of those who are helping and get them going on their CQ portions.

My goal is to finally get into my sewing room and clean it up. It has become a storage room over the last few years, and it's time to get back to quilting.

Will try to do a before and after picture to post.

My goal is to work on a Halloween Baltimore BOM I have had for a few years. So far this week I have finished three blocks with 2 ready for top stitching, two ready for fusing and 1 fusible traced. I decided that I have to finish 2 UFO's a month before I can start something new, when the start of the month comes, I will go back to the UFO's. Wish me luck.

My goal this week is to make the HGTV BOM, finish a baby quilt that I had to rip apart because put a eyelet ruffle on it and then decided I didn't like it. I need to work on getting my Funky Chicken BOM put together. Hopefully, I can complete this list. Happy Sewing & good luck everyone!

My goal is similar to Musiclady. My sewing room seems to be the catch-all for things no one knows what to do with or where to put! Tomorrow I start to straighten, then...
I want to get the first BOM sewn and also try one or more of the chain blocks I think I'll use. I have a journal cover to finish, too, for a friend.

My goal is to get a QOV ready for the frame (find a backing and batting here and sew the binding strips together), applique a pansy on a vintage coverlet that is missing one, complete a row for the retreat row robin, go through some Barbie doll casual clothes and refurbish, repair and make missing outfit pieces for Cincinnati Quilt Outreach mission we adopted in Apalachia. Don't think I'll be able to complete them all!

I am finally making a quilt for my DH and I and I fondly call it our 'Love Quilt'. I plan to work on this quilt this weekend. Here is a picture of some of the completed blocks. I have finished a few more since this picture. I'm ready to complete it. I also plan to iron all the fabric I caught on sale through the holidays and store it away. All this can be done, if I'd just put down the sock I'm knitting for my daughter. hehehe I've already finished one, just to finish it's mate........and then the orders for socks from the granbabies. Ah, my work is never done! Everyone have a great weekend and here's to hoping you get to do just exactly what you want to do. Marj

Finish a Florida State baby quilt for a friend at church is at the top of my list-halfway quilted-just need to finish and bind before Sunday.

Then I GET TO PLAY WITH SOMETHING NEW. I have a jillion patterns, ideas from here and there and want to do one of them before I get back to some of the UFOs.

Good luck everyone on meeting your goals. The projects shown are all pretty!

I have a long list for this week and a short week since I am leaving town on Wednesday. That's not a good combination. Here goes -

Trace 4 hearts for redwork swap
Get 2 hearts stitched
Wash, iron and cut hexie fabric
Finish 2 small ufo's
Finish row robin
Print out instructions for Sulky BOM
Work on recovering couch cushions
Decide what to do for pincushion swap and for BIL's quilt
Find challenge fabric for COF retreat

That's more than enough!!

I finished a small quilt for the front door and a table runner for the kitchen. I am planning one for each month this year. This afternoon, I have a repair on a jacket for DH which should take only about 1/2 hour then I am starting on a baby quilt. This is the tablerunner. Will post a picture of the door quilt later.

Between now and next Friday I hope to:

Sew the last six blocks for Easy Street and put the blocks together.

Decide on borders for Easy Street - pieced? plain? what size? - and get them on

Make one or two more blocks to go with the four I already have done for February Sunshine Quilters and mail them.

Work on the hand applique for DGD's quilt.

Trim the edges of the quilt I just got back from the longarmer so I can start binding it next week.

Make a couple of blocks for the sampler quilt to raffle.

Before I do anything fun I have to hem some pants for a couple of girls at work, then tidy my sewing room a bit.

Then I'd like to get my sorry butt out of bed just an hour earlier each day so that I can do some sewing before I head out to work. Maybe I can get my swap mugrug started &/or finished if I do that.

And, I need to decide if I'm gonna do the the BOM & if I am, decide on a color scheme & pull some fabrics!

I love this thread. If I plan on one goal per week, even if its doing only part of a quilt, I feel I'll have fulfilled the goal so I'm keeping mine small. If I get more done, all the better.
This week my goal is to take this shadowed 4-patch Stacker and layer and pin it this week.
That sounds doable to me.

Love the new thread! It's helped me already. My goal for this week is finish the memory quilt that I put a major dent in the quilting last night. A couple of hours more quilting then label and binding. And get my second nearly done quilt finished. I have some problem blocks to quilt. Then it's done.

I have promised myself I will not pull out my sewing machine until all the holiday stuff is put away. I made a major dent on that today I only have the tree to take down tomorrow. I'm giving myself one more night of fairy lights.

My short list is:
1. my mugrug for the initial swap - already cut out.
2. Sunshine blocks
3. Quilt and bind two child-sized donation quilts.

I'll be be satisfied if I get any or all done.

I forgot to mention that Sister Sue helped me with it, cutting out the pieces and bonding them on. She also gave me lots of moral support.
I'm liking the lunch bag and the mini Lori, is very beautiful and lots of little pieces. MW..that is going to be beautiful too. Deb, that Let it Snow is darling. Quiltbea, that is a very nice 4 patch. Looks like some of the goals have been met.

This week will be to get the quilt done and to put the blocks for the 2012 Bom put together. Also to make a garbage bag for my DH's truck.

Thank you Holly for starting this. I need this and hoping I will set a small goal each week that I can push myself to complete before the next posting the following week.
Some of you have been so productive already, I am encouraged by that.
I have a 60" square quilt that is to be gifted that I would like to have quilted, bound and mailed by the posting next week. I have it about 1/4 the way quilted now.
