If you read the thread about the NQA show in Columbus you know my grandson was in the hospital. He is home now, he had a staph infection that settled in his hip and thigh bones. After days of antibiotics he is now walking and looking forward to baseball camp. While laying in the hospital bed he was covered with a blanket I made for him. After he started feeling better he told me I needed to make a new one as his was getting too short.
I make the grandkids fleece blankets with the satin bindings. The one he has now is kind of like fleece fabric but it is soft and sheds like minky. I got it at Jo-Ann a couple of years ago so I am going to look to see if they have something similar. Plan to get 3 yards and if he out grows it he better be making lots of money in the NBA!!!

I made my neice a rag time quilt when she was a baby and it was scrappy pink and white and every year I have added to it and I made the extra squares and washed them before I added them on and you really can't tell they have been added. I kind of mix and match old with the new. I kept out at least one square of each row to mix in as I added.
