i got an email today that my subscription has run out on "the quilt show" what a joke. i paid a ridiculous amount to watch a quilt show online which i regret. i watched maybe two shows and lost interest. i work all day online and for me to sit in front of a computer and watch a quilt show; no thanks. it was boring. for all of us who got suckered into it, well we enabled them to take it off the television line-up. no show is worth paying for in my opinion; not with all the free stuff online including all you wonderful helpful people, youtube and blog tutorials. i wonder if it appealed to everyone because they could showcase their quilts to big names in quilting. you can do that here or on your own blog and we know that quilt designers and shops look at blogs and link them off their own. they know what the people want and they find it for us.

I agree with everything you said except this quote. I'm pretty sure that Simply Quilts being taken off the air was a decision by HGTV and happened before Alex and Tim teamed up for the online quilt show.
