my pfaff 2056 isn't working. i turn it on and the screen isn't moving past the pfaff performance screen. when i press the foot pedal, nothing is happening.

Is the foot control on a separate cord from the power cord?

I had a 2046 that did that once. I turned it off, unplugged it, waited 5 minutes and started over. It worked fine after that. I hope your problem is as easy to solve. Computers can be a pain!

I have the 2056 and use it a lot and have never had that happened. I was going to suggest that you unplug completely, that is from the outlet and remove the cord from the machine as well. As Navy Wife said, wait a few minutes and replug and see what happens.

If unplugging didn't work, could you try calling Sew Creative in Beverly? I use Button Box in Wellesley -- they are great! Love that machine!
