• • • And it only took about two months, not too bad. I tried to keep track of the hours, but some days I would forget. According to my records, I have about 150 hours in. It's my own fault because I have a tendency to over do it. My first design was really involved and as I went along I kept simplifying it. But then, I decided to add the colored stars and even more on the back. WHAT WAS I THINKING?

Anyway, it's done, she loves it and actually stated she's not sure if she wants to raffle it off. I am pretty sure she will. As soon as I get the ticket information I'll let you know (in case you are interested).

This is a twin size 64x87" and very comfy. Wink

Jayardi, that's absolutely beautiful. I can see why your friend is having a hard time wanting to raffle it off. Someone will be so lucky to have it!

• • • I'm glad you all like it. I'm not sure I want to do it again, but she ordered one for her son too. Luckily, there aren't as many shirts, so I'll be able to play with the design more and he likes my favorite color combo. Big Grin

That is the BEST T-shirt quilt style I've ever seen. Good job designing it.

I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag.

I just love it! Can you tell us about the border? Are the stars from the t-shirt fabric? Are they appliqued? You did an amazing job!

• • • Oh my, such wonderful comments. You all make me smile. Big Grin

Susan, thank you very much. Yes the stars and diamonds are from the t-shirts. There was so much fabric left over I didn't want to waste it and besides it matched better than anything I had. All stars are actually only sewn on with a raw edge.

I designed the diamond border in QP6 to figure out the measurements. I was going to piece it completely but decided I did not want to play with all those angles or paper piece it. I cut the diamonds, added the frame and then turned the edges and appliqued them to the border strip.

My customer will be picking this up on Monday. Event day is June 22, but she indicated it may be in the silent auction instead of the raffle. I'll let you know when I do.
