Enabler! I did restrict myself to one set, since I still have one from a quilt show. Got some Retayne also. Is this an annual special? Maybe another time I'll be able to splurge. Thank you for the information.

I don't know if this is an annual thing or not. The first time that I can remember getting an e-mail about it. But then, maybe I wasn't signed up for the newsletter in the past either.

Don't you just love their fabrics?

I limited myself also. Someday I'll buy some yardage when I find the perfect project to use them in.

Those bundles look really tempting. For now I just took advantage of the grab bag offer. Thanks for the heads up, Patty. I didn't know about these folks before. Am eager to see the fabrics up close and in person. Smile

Bozie, I can't wait to see the mini you make out of these!!

Yes, I usually drool over these fabrics at every quilt show I go to.

I'm so glad some of you took a look and bought. You have until 11:59 tonight (Monday) to still order. (I'm not a saleswoman for them, just love the fabrics)

I won a bundle of these at the COF retreat in Charlotte. I have not used them yet but, take them out and "pet" them occasionally as they feel so wonderful!

I just checked this thread this a.m. and was too late for the grab bag sale and I was going to order that without a second thought!

Oh well, next time.

I was so happy to see a package in my mailbox when I got home tonight. Here is a picture showing some of the colors. There are a lot of them and it's hard to display them all. Hope you get the idea. They are SO purtty!!!

I tried to do a closeup but it didn't work too good. But they do look like suede and are so soft.

Mine came yesterday. They are of a really wide variety of colors as advertised and many of them do have a "suede" look. The bad news (at least from my point of view) is that they seem to have quite a bit of loose dye in them. I washed mine using Synthrapol as they suggested and got quite a bit of color in the first wash water and rinse. So I washed again and rinsed twice more. They also say that finished products should be washed with Synthrapol the first couple of times - and to not let finished quilts or garments air dry but dry them in a dryer because the dyes may wick to where they aren't wanted if they dry too slowly.

Patty, have you had any problems with them?

Bozie, I read about the washing also. I have to admit I have not made anything with these fabrics yet, I've just been collecting them. I was going to wash mine. I plan on making a purse and small bags with mine so they probably won't be washed much anyway.

I have seen many garments and quilts made with them so I'm guessing it's not much of a problem or they have been cared for as directed. You could write to them if you have questions I'm sure they would be happy to help you.

I don't have any questions or complaints for them. They are upfront about the possibility of excess dye in the care info on their website. Smile
