Who wants to play a game for a prize? We've got a winner(s)!
Ok ladies..... here's the story..
December 31, 2005 I joined this forum with hopes of learning all about quilting and making new friends.... and I have. The past 7 years have brought so many of you wonderful ladies into my life and I've even had the joy of meeting a lot of you. I thank you for teaching me so many new tricks of the trade and for your friendship in times of need.
To celebrate my 7th year here, I thought I would have a little contest... prize will be something "quilt related".
Here's the deal... the number of post shown at the bottom of my posts right now should be 9981... just 19 shy of 10,000! I must admit I am a talker but I've also hosted many swaps and a Retreat so the number jumped quite a bit. Actually I think the actual count should be near maybe 12,000 but due to a gliche a few years ago I lost a couple years count.
So... the FIRST person who finds me when I hit 10,000 will win a prize. All you have to do is post on the board that you have found me and what thread you found me on... doesn't have to be one of mine - could be just me commenting on someone elses. The winner will receive notification that she won when I post #10,001 If I receive mutiple responses at the same time the person with the earliest TIME of post will be the winner.
I did this when I hit 7,500 and I think I had some major stalkers LOL! I do believe Lisa TX was the winner that time... go figure - she is like a snoopy little detective as she tends to win all the guessing games!
Oh... no fair asking silly questions and trying to get me to repsond.... I got your number on that trick!
Have fun! This message has been edited. Last edited by: Nickilee,

My thought is is that she's going to wait until Dec. 31 to post that 10,000 post since that's her anniversary date. She's so sneaky like that!

At the rate she is posting, we will be in an old folks home before she gets to 10,100.
As much as she post, I bet she is sitting at her computer in a straight jacket so she can not get her fingers on the keyboard and the post button. OR She is changeing her post title, and posting on the private message board(because her post dont count on the pm's) to keep from having withdrawals for not getting to post here!!!!!!!!!!
I think she is out shoveling snow that we got last night...
Nicki...please post and let us know that you are ok after all the snow, wind and other weather that we got last night here in Massachusetts...(no one is watching you so its ok to post)

I have never paid much attention to the register dates and number of post at the bottom of each post until now.
Does your count not change until you go to another thread. I have posted several times on this thread and my poar numbers are the same.
Nickie do you know why my post numbers are the same in all my posts in this thread?
Never mind, I see now. When I post on any thread it changes my numbers on all my post.
I am just babbling. I am trying to reacy 10,000 post by the time Nicki post so my post number will be higher than hers. Do you think I can make It Nicki?
Bunsie, You are going to have really get your fingers moving on the keyboard to pass Miss Nicki!!!!
Happy Stitching...Lois

Oh that is too funny, that is exactly what I told Sue last night. That Nicki would be trying not to post until 12-31-13 just to make sure when she posts at midnight she will cross the big mark, Then wait until tomorrow to start talking about all the things she wanted to all week. How funny is that.????
Hmmmm, how may posts do I have? I had to post to see....
my philosophy: there are no real mistakes in quilting, just design opportunities!!

WOW, I am way behind on my posting compared to some of you ladies!
Q, over 24 thousand - unreal! Is that the largest number of us ladies?

I don't know if anyone has more than Q.
Nicki, come on out and show us the pictures of the snow family that you undoubtedly built . Bingo Bonnie posted a picture on facebook and her kids used Legos for the buttons on their snowman.
Is it 7:07 p.m. Eastern? We're about to sit down to dinner, I may miss her post.

The wait is over - SCLady posted where her 10,000th post is located
We must have been there the same time but I had to go find the "rules" by the time I did that she had it posted.
The question now is: How high will it go before the year officially ends? She was "quiet" for a long time
