Hey everyone, it's time to get those fqs in the mail for wenonah! Her birthday is on the 25th but the mail by date is the 5th of October.

Happy Birthday Jackie!

P.S. is anyone interested in stepping up to host this swap? There ate only 2 months left to this year and it'll be over ...

Am finally home from a month of camping - went to mail the October package, but the PO was very busy and the clerk was having some difficulty with the current transaction - so I left. Will get it mailed this week. Sorry, I'm normally one of the early ones.

Me, too. I mailed my registration forms, etc, to Gonesewin for the 2013 retreat in Harrisburg, PA at the very same time, and she got that 2 days later. If you do not get it by the end of the week, I will be resending (as I try to remember which FQ I sent)! I am so sorry it hasn't arrived. This is a first, but given the status of the U.S.P.S. these days, I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Makes me sad...and mad! No worries, though...you'll get a replacement.

Wondering if it got eaten by a machine. Yesterday I received two packages of things I had ordered. They both looked like a dog had been chewing on them along the way. Big holes in the packages. Luckily the things were in plastic bags to be shipped. Jackie

Second one has gone in the mail. It is different than the first one. If the first one ever shows up, (it should have 10/1 postmark), let me know what condition it's in. The second one should have today's postmark.

It looks to me like you are still missing fq's from Ky_Sunshine, Islandtime and margie, right? I hate it when we mail stuff and it gets lost out there in the great unknown. Can you just imagine the pile of fabric "someone" has?!

UPDATE!!!!!
My mail just arrived, and in it was the orginal FQ I sent (postmarked 10/1) to Wenonah! Stamped in red ink was "RETURN TO SENDER". No explanation, no reason. I am completely baffled. Checked the address, and it is correct. SO...if you don't get the second one, it's probably on the way back to me also. Anyone have an idea about this? I am more than angry with the U.S.P.S. right now. Everyone else has gotten theirs this year; I have no idea why this has happened.

Elle, at least you got it back. I am curious about what post office stamped it for return. We pick our mail up at the post office and they usually just hold something that has postage due or some other problem. One nice thing about living in a small town. Jackie

Jackie - I don't know. The only marks on it are the original postmark and the red stamp, but here it is over 2 weeks since I first sent it, so who knows where it has been! I'm crossing my fingers that the second one gets to you.

Gonesewin...please give me credit for trying...I'm at the mercy of the USPS right now. I don't know what else to do - and I had a clean record up till now!:-(
