Sherry, I wouldn't know who'd that be...LOL!! Wink

This is a 20 oz water bottle cover/carrier. I think the longest piece of selvage is about 12"-14" I think...but don't know why you couldn't piece them together if ya wanted.

Sew Happy, that's why I'm posting this early...so everyone that wants to make this can save some selvages b4 hand!

I can also post the supply llist ahead of time if anyone wants me to....

I like to keep my selvages on my fabric but can I make strips the same or approximate widths and do the pattern anyway?

Paus, if u used strips and do this the way I made it, then you'll have raw edges...you might be able to zig-zag the edges but it would defeat the purpose of making it with the selvages, wouldn't it?

I've never sewn anything with selvages so I guess I didn't know how you work with them.

ETA: I didn't know you need a finished edge.

Erma, I like to cut into the fabric at least a 1/4" but 3/8"-1/2" is best {when cutting off the selvage edge from my fabric}.

If you look closely {at the water bottle cover posted above} you can see a small bit of the fabric color showing in each strip.

IF you don't have enough selvages then ask your friends for some...that's how I got most of mine! Wink
