I'll be hobbling to the post office in the morning after physical therapy, I managed to mess up my bad knee and kept me grounded Friday and Saturday, when I had planned on going to post office. All the swaps will be there, going priority. I understand of course if they don't make it by 8/8 I get all my pretties back. Thanks again for the swaps.

Today I received my package. I have never been a person who speaks up, but today I am as the results of this swap have hit my fairness button. Of the 105 fabrics I received, only 5 of them are attractive or something I would purchase. 100 of them are definitely at least 10 yrs. old, most of which are drab and unattractive. I will never believe that 15 wonderful swappers sent them. I will not be participating in future swaps. We all pay good postage amounts and, in good faith, send fabrics like we would like to receive back, and this did not happen. You can read between the lines.

Remember, the theme was stashbusters--to use what we already had on hand. Ladies, your feedback?

I got my pkg today! Lots of things I had never seen before. All very interesting and great to do a scrap quilt with. Still feeling bad that it was so hard to handle for KC... I am not ashamed of any fabric I sent in, new and old. As KC stated, Stashbuster was the name of the game ths time. Hope more people are happy with their lot....Joyus

WannaQuilt2: This swap was titled "Stash" and KC pointed out anything that is in your stash (as long as it falls under her quidelines) can be swapped.
Your comments are nasty and undeserved.

I LOVE this swap! I think KC is crazy to handle the multitude of issues involved with a large swap like this. But thank you thank you, thank you for doing it!!!

As for dull and old fabrics that's why I love swaps. Its one of the only way you can afford to add the varity to a quilt.

Thanks again KC!

I am so excited about the variety of wonderful fabrics that I received! Each one has a personality and I've already started a new scrap quilt with some! The thing I love the most about scrap quilts is that they speak to my spirit of quilting "sisters" of the past and it helps me forge a bond with them!

Quilts originally were made from recycled forms of cotton- clothes, etc. Our early quilting sisters were "eco-friendly" before it became trendy! In this economy, it makes me happy to use what I have to create something new! I have never been ashamed to give as gifts or donations quilts made with a variety of scraps! They sing to my soul!

Wannaquilt2- I'm sorry that my stash probably was one you didn't like. It contained some fabrics that were conceiveably older (even though they may have been Jinny Beyer or even Amy Butler!)but I thought that they were nice. I, for one, thank KC1930 for the amazing amount of work that she put in to making this huge swap a success!!!

I got my package Wednesday...and want to give my thanks to all the participants! Thanks KC for the swaps, I was a minor problem child by missing 3 selvages--from a brand new FQ. While some of the fabrics received are not of my liking, I can see the use for them, or to set aside for a different type of swap. Stashbuster is that, using stash, and what a great way to get a variety for those great Bonnie Hunter quilts!! I find it difficult to believe that that high a percentage was 10 years old, I know for instance, that most of mine are less than a year old. KC, again, thanks for the swaps, I can't even imagine the work involved and I appreciate it!!

Mine arrived yesterday, and I've gone through them, briefly, not in great detail. Naturally, there are fabrics that are not "my style", but that's what makes a scrappy quilt so interesting!

I luv a few of them, and wish I had yardage of 1 or 2. One brick fabric makes me think of the Jetsons...beautiful.

Thanks again, KC, for putting this together.

aaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh! Mine came! I'm happily sorting them to color order...one of my favorite activities! Another is enjoying all the different fabrics, no matter what color or style. The thing I like about stashbusters is getting bits of color that I might not buy, have in my own stash, or be my own taste. A stashbuster swap helps me get out of the box and try something new. Scrappy is my favorite type of quilt...and the boxes of bits I'm building from these swaps helps me do that.

I think KC does an admirable job on swaps, and is more than fair and accurate. I appreciate you so much for your enthusiasm, constancy, responsibleness and for teaching me to read instructions KC!!!!!! ha! Thank you so much for all your hard work!!! I love swaps...so much fun opening the package when it comes. Smile

The stilleto is SO helpful in sorting the little squares...how did I ever do without it!!! Thank you!!!
