Thought I would share some pics of my latest completed project. The gal that has done my hair for years is retiring. I made this string snuggly for her and will probably give it to her next week. This is the first time I have quilted anything larger than a crib size on my machine and I feel sure it will be the last. What a hair-pulling experience !! Mad You ladies that quilt large quilts on your regular machine certainly have my admiration. Smile

That is very pretty Alice...Looks like Batiks from here... Big Grin

As you admire us longarmers, I always admire someone who is willing to wrestle quilts on their regular home machines...I have never been brave enough to try for fear of a puckered back and I hate to frog... Big Grin

Alice....what a great quilt. I love it. I'm still working on a string quilt. I admire you for getting yours finished.
As for quilting on your regular machine.....I found that rolling it up took a lot of time and struggle. I scrunch mine up now like an accordian and its a lot easier.
Did you roll yours? I don't advise it. With scrunching you can move it easier and direct your stitches easier and its faster because you don't have to keep rerolling it. Besides, that heavy roll is hard to maneuver under the arm.
You did a great job anyway, however you managed it.

That quilt is gorgeous! The blue sashing sets off the strings nicely. I'm sure your hair stylist will love it and be very surprised. Good luck locating a ndw one.

Lovely quilt. I like the way you did the cornerstones different colors.

I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag.

Love the quilt you made. That blue really sets it off great. That was a very kind thing to do, making the quilt for her. I am sure she will love it & appreciate all your hard work & especially your thoughtfullness.
