How to reduce my avatar pic Sign In/Join

Can anyone tell me how to reduce my pic in my profile? It is soooo big...

First go to profile and click on edit and go to avatar.
This is how I do it.

I go to program...accessories..paint... when paint opens click on file.. then open.. it will come up to browse and wherever your picture is click on that...scroll to the picture and double click on it and it will go to paint program. Click on image and and resize/screw and the percentages will come up at 100%. I try 20% and 20% and then if it isn't right, try another number. Hope this isn't too confusing. Maybe someone else can explain it better.

You have to resize the photo you are using to something around 60-100 pixels. Still big enough to see but much smaller than what you have now.
You'll have to be sure to save another copy of the photo for the avatar, because you still want to have this great photo in regular size too.

Just do what you did to change avatar. Don't forget to scroll down and click "submit"

and you do need to resize it, soon please...There is another post on resizing just do a search under the Find button if wildcatsmom advice does not work..
