I just sewed together the first block. At what point do I square up this block.

Before I cut this into 4 parts or after I cut and sew the four parts back together?

I would do it after you cut and sew it back together. If your seams are a true 1/4 inch they shouldn't be that far off.

It was off just a tiny bit in a couple of places.

I squared up mine before I cut then turn sew and square up again.

I square before I cut....

I've been cutting first, didn't think about squaring up first. So far no problems.

sounds like both ways work. Off to start cutting and squaring.

Quilt protocol would say you square up after completing each unit. So much for protocol. lollll

I square up after completing the 9 patch and again when I've sewn them back together as the D9P.
