The last two weeks I've had a BAD problem with my left eye. I can't see anything but "objects" out of it. I've been to my opthomologist(s) specialists twice and today have the news that it is bad and there is nothing they can do.....nature has to take charge. My right eye is 20/20 and the left is worse than 20/200 because of a big oily looking black BLOB in the line of my vision. I haven't been driving but can since I have 20/20 in one eye. They said it will improve but there is no time line...weeks, months, year(s). I'm SO in need of your help!! I can sew and do things close up by wearing my glasses but other than that, everything seems off balance and "confusing". This is difficult for me to ask. I know the power of the wonderful people on this board as well as my family and friends.....please with G'd help.....give me my sight back.
I have an appointment with an eye specialist on Monday, the 26th, but really, it is only for a second opinion. He will probably tell me the same thing I heard today. Thank you!!

Downsouth: Thank you so much! It started with the diagonsis of "Flashes and Floaters" where you see flashes of light and floaters of black spots. Since my first appt two weeks ago it is worse, with a vision of "oily vision with black blobs". Thank you so much!!

How frightening for you, Marion. We often take our eyesight for granted, then a wake-up call. I will pray that there's a solution for your troubles, and that healing is on the way.
I just got home from work & saw your post. I will be praying for you & for healing of your eye. Hopefully, this is just a short term problem & the Dr's can help correct the problem. G0d does hear & answers prayer.

Marion - I'm so very sorry. Will definitely send up a few extra p rayers for you.
My uncle lost an eye after being hit with a baseball eons ago. He ended up with a glass eye but luckily had 20/20 vision is the remaining eye. He did very well and you wouldn't know it if you didn't pay a lot of attention.
I have 20/200 vision in one eye and about 20/60 or so in the other. Near is very good but far (armlength or more) not as good. Your brain will soon figure out what to turn "off" and what to turn "on".
Do everything the doc asks and then leave the rest up to the ultimate doctor.
