I need this fabric! Have you seen it...who makes it? What is the name of the fabric line?
Do you have any of it yourself...that you'd be willing to sale?
I am just sick...because it is the main fabric in a quilt top and I can not find any more of it in my stash...even though, there is supposed to be about 3 yards here.
This is one of the fabrics...the main one...that was provided to the group for the HGTV Row-by-Row round-robin quilt swap.

And, in September...at retreat...I'll be getting my quilt top back that they have sewn...using this fabric as the main focus fabric, as I had requested. I kept 3 yards of this fabric to use as a border when the quilt top returned.

I have searched and searched...it's no where to be found.

Now, I don't say that lightly...believe me, I've been going through every box, bin, plastic container, dresser drawer, and chubby hole up here in this garage apartment...and below in the garage too. I offered to pay my SIL if she could find it and gave her free reign...she searched and searched...pulled out everything from every drawer, box, bin again...and we can not find it!

Seriously, I have now idea where else to look!
I really need this fabric...or my quilt will have to have a solid black border...
but...I have no idea when I purchased it...or from where. Don't know who made it because all I have left is this little piece which was returned as scrap with my other un-used fabrics in the Round Robin just last week. Thankfully, there was a scrap...so I could photograph it!

So, I"m at a complete loss...sure hope someone out there can help me out! I posted on my blog too...and am asking for help in finding some more of this.

Just sick...

This loooks like something I saw from Shauna's Crafty Quilter ...I'll PM her and ask her to take a look .. wish I could think of the company, it's not one I recall seeing much at the shops I frequent.

I know I don't have that fabric but will certainly keep good thoughts for you and hope you find it. I can picture you looking all over for what you set aside...I'm guessing that as soon as you find more or use something else in its place it will turn up from its hiding place. At least that is what happens to me Smile

I'm sorry Kathy. I don't have it either. The one Crazy is thinking about is Kiev by Elizabeth Studio. It's a beautiful piece but it's not what you need. To bad you don't have the name of that piece you need. I wish you luck.

I had a piece of that about four years ago when I first started, so if it is the same, it is an older fabric. That is all I can remember.

It looked black in the other room but it I take it to the light for a photo I see that it is a deep navy or maybe a midnight blue.

Erma,

Thanks SO MUCH for the information on your selvage. That gives me a good starting point. At least now, I know what to search for!

Thanks all for the kind offers of your fabrics...but, I really am needing enough for a border...so will go hunting to see if I can locate a quilt shop with any in their old stock.

Hugs!

Thanks Nickilee...I'll try that tomorrow.

EvelynB...at this point...I would not care if it was the stripe fabric...even though the floral print was the one I had originally bought.

Y'all just would not believe all of the boxes, totes, drawers, bags, envelopes, and spots I've searched. When I walk through this apartment...I keep just asking "Where have I not looked..." and seriously, there isn't anywhere that comes to mind. I even checked the freezer...hey, could have been a weak moment when I was needing ice-cream that I stashed it!"...just saying.

So was the buttonsnbow carrying the right color?

I recently found two great fabrics folded up inside a quilt. Then I found more hanging over a hanger in a clothes closet. Safe from my rotary cutter but also forgotten.

Found my keys and glasses in the freezer! Sounds like a good place to hide. My DH carries around the remote control. It ends up in very strange places too. I don't get upset because the remote in my sewing room works his tv and I hide it from him. LOL Part of the wild adventures of the grandparents! My grand kids just shake their heads.

Don't let your DH empty the trash cans in the sewing room. My cat pushes items into them! Just trying to help me clean a spot for nap.

My CAT pushes items into my trashcan! One day I found a plate, silverware, some bills and something else important there, He likes dropping thing in containers...my glass, his water dish, the sink, the toliet... guess I can be glad he didn't drop the plate in there.

When I used to work at the bank, I lost my keys for 2 weeks...not good considering they were 1/2 of the vault keys. I found them in my lunch sack...in the refrigerator...

Kathy, you gave me some of the striped fabric in Alabama...don't know if it was 3 yards or not...did not even open up the plastic bag...sent it on with your quilt top to pegsami....

Hope this helps put your mind at ease. Just call pegsami and see if she has what you're looking for.

Thanks Lois..but no, that's not the one. It was a matching piece that I had not even thought to put into the original swap. But, after the group ran out of the main fabric...and I could not find the 3 yard piece...I had no choice but to add that.

I have the extra back from Pegsami of all the fabrics...but there never was enough of the stripe to do the border.

Thanks to Pegsami...I have a small piece of the focus (main fabric) to photograph and show.

Hoping to hear from Nancy soon...and that she has enough for the border.

Hugs to all!

Nancy,

It was so nice to talk to you this morning...and a thousand thanks for your offer of help. It has so eased my mind. Now, I can not wait to see the fabric you are sending...and keeping my fingers crossed that it is a perfect match for what I can't find!

Thanks SO MUCH!

I promise to pay your kindness forward...and help someone else when I can. I always like to do that...and think that is one trait that quilters all have in common. (Another one might be our "talent" to hide stash so well...that even WE can't find it!)

Hugs to all!

Got my fingers crossed for you!

How wonderful! I love happy endings. I read books by authors who always have happy endings.

Speaking of keys, mine disappeared at school and DH was out of town. My sweet new principal helped me search the school. He even climbed in the trash bin. Finally two hours later he offered to see if his VW keys would work in my VW. He climbed in my car and pulled my keys out of his pocket! We'd eaten at the same lunch table and he grabbed my keys thinking they were his. Twenty years later he was still laughing over that.BTW the old keys for VWs were often alike.
