Do you carry your machine to your guild or classes and such? What do you use to carry your baby? Do you use a tutto, or bluefig, or what? Please share your thoughts

well, I NEVER! I can't believe you even asked such a personal question...harumph

Retreat spots always had these available. But I opted for the carpetbag rolled machine carrier, a flat rectangle case for rulers mats, books and project totes and one nice square knitting rolling case. All from Joann's with no issues about weight limit. The square knit bag holds six plastic lure boxes I keep buttons, beads and charms in.
I miss retreats and seeing what everyone brings their stuff in.

I like the roller bags for my machines with lots of pockets. Gonna make a nice carry bag for my shoulder soon for my rulers, and cutting mat, and if I measure correctly and can remember to add it, I've decided to add a tie or velcro strap so I can attach it to the handle of my carry bag in case I don't wanna carry it on my shoulder.

What is TUTTO and how would I do it? Are beans involved? And I've only eaten brown figs, not blue ones. Maybe that's part of the problem?

I LOVE my TUTTO!!! I have a tutto to carry my embroidery arm. It fits my arm sooo snug, lots of padding and pockets and room to carry extras. I have the carrying case from Bernina for my baby....it fits my machine like a glove and I prefer it over the Tutto, because it is more compact. Tutto is so great though I highly recommend it. Pricey, but convenient with wheels that go anywhere. Not sure I would take it down the stairs with my machine in it, but they do advertise that it can be pulled down the stairs.

One of the things I really do like to take to class is my stacking boxes. I carry my scissors, needles, etc. etc. etc. I have 3 boxes and they stack on top of each other with one handle on top. I can carry all three boxes with the one handle. They come apart and I put these beside my machine....one or all of them and my supplies are so accessible.

What is your favourite take to class item????

I have one of the wheeled machine case from JoAnns. It's big enough for the machine and most any supplies I need for a class. I try not to take huge rulers and such.

Jackie, Quiltslots and I both bought a tutto to take our machines to Branson. They are really sturdy and protect the machine with bars if you are planning on ever traveling with your machine. I also have the one from Joann's for taking my machine to the sew-ins with our guild. It isn't as protective and could easily be crushed. It depends on what you plan on using it for. It was well worth the money. We got the medium one and it fit nicely on the carry on storage above the seats in the plane.

I use mine all the time and it's great. However, I would like to be able to put my machine in the bag from the top rather than the side, I find that a little awkward. It is nice that you can put a tote or something on top and strap it down.

I wish I had bought the bigger size, so I could stuff more "stuff" in with the machine. I never take it on a plane, so size wouldn't be an issue.

I don't know what this is. Does it hurt? Is it contagious? (I had to look them up.) I have the much cheaper items from JoA's purchased on a Black Friday with a coupon. The pieces are great and meet my needs completely.
Now, let's go and TUTTO and eat a bluefig on toast.

My Jo-Anns' (back in PA) had regular totes for sewing machines...but I bought a bag that was in their scrapbooking dept. My machine fits in it very nicely and has room for me to add some sheet styrofoam for added protection. Plus I always manage to stuff fabric, bobbin case, scissors and lots of other goodies in there too. And I have flown with it 3-4 times and checked it every time i.e. it goes with all the rest of the big luggage. So far no problems. (Maybe i should tell you that my machine is NOT an expensive computerized one - just a regular, off-the-shelf one from Sears,)

Oh Lindsay what are you talk'in about?

I only sew on vintage machines and I have my $100 featherweight that I take everywhere! I found a two piece PINK Bass Pro backpack that holds the machine in one half and everything else except mat and rulers in the other. When I'm organized I have material kitted up so that's all I need.

Now that I'm in MO every time I turn around, I bought a two foot ruler and mat and left them at DDs house.

A QUICK FUNNY:
DH loves to cart my stuff, we were in Springfield, IL for a conference he was packing up the truck and some guy asked him where he was going fishing. (Guess the pink backpack stood out next to his black army duffel) DH told home it was his wife's sewing machine and the guys wife said "IT'S A FEATHERWEIGHT!" the guy dropped the teasing, but I still hear about it if he is helping load up my machine
