For this challenge we took inspiration from the song that was the number one on the day we were born. The project could be whatever we wanted as long as it fell under the category "Quilting/Needlework".

It could be any size, any materials in any ammount and in depicted in any way we chose.

Now it's up to you to vote for your favorite! Everyone did such a great job - it's going to be difficult - but what's new, right???

to see the photos go to http://www.flickr.com/photos/4...s/72157631041423952/

Question:
Which of the following is your favorite?

Choices:
A The Gypsy by The Ink Spots
B Where is Your Heart by Percy Faith
C Sherry by The Four Seasons
D I Wanna Hold Your Hand by The Beatles
E At the Hop by Danny and the Juniors
F Pony Time by Chubby Checker
G Careless Whisper by George Michael

The projects all look great. Each one of you put a tremendous thought into your project and now we get to choose which one we like the best. Lots of luck with that!!!. I like them all. Will have to think about this before I select one. Sue

These are all so wonderful. Glad to have the write up to each one, to understand the symbolism and choices, and techniques too. Amazing and thoughtful, and great workmanship as well. Attention to detail. Gotta think on this awhile. Only one?

Congrats, everyone!! Each project is unique and beautiful! I also had a difficult time deciding on a favorite, as they all are. And, even after looking at the inspiration, I'm still clueless about what I would have done with my song Frown

I'm sure low voter turnout so far is due to indecision, not lack of interest.

Congratulations to ALL the quilters who finished their projects! Sometimes getting these things finished is truly half the battle! I want to thank Lori/Gonsewin for another great challenge...you do have some creative things up your sleeve! I tried to guess who stitched which pieces and must say, I only got a couple right! You girls...changing things up on me!

Now, I want to thank you all SO much for your wonderful votes of confidence! OMG! I have had a stressful couple of years and I guess with the stress somewhat calmer now I am putting my energy into my creations. They were really all so creative and fun! And what a challenge! Our birth day song? Way to go everyone!

What a thrill, I have to admit, to see the votes being put to my piece. Thank you so much.

Now onward...to our next challenge!

• • • CONGRATULATIONS Colleen! I didn't recognize your song, but when you mentioned Moulin Rouge, your little leg sticking out of all those ruffles was absolutely perfect.

Wasn't that exciting to watch as the numbers climb? I couldn't believe my eyes on the last challenge. It turned into a daily ritual to see what the numbers were.

Lori, I was torn between both your pieces and had a very difficult time deciding. I really liked yours, especially the color scheme. Wink Mine, on the other hand, didn't turn out as well as I had hoped. For some reason, I always mess up on the nose. (Sorry about that Sassy Red Face)

It was a very interesting challenge. Thank you! I can't wait to get started on the next one, but it will have to wait until after the retreat.
