I loved the classes, and hope that I will be able to join in this fall. After Labor Day sounds great. Since I missed most of last years classes, I have no ideas as of yet.

I loved the PJ parties & I would love to see them start up again. After the Labor Day weekend sounds good. Were you looking for volunteers for teaching a topic, so you could set up a schedule? <><><> Express Your Creative Side ~~ Sew Something Today. <><><>

love them, but I won't be able to join in until after the first week of November, but I love a good catch up when I pop online...I'll try to think up some class ideas. I love the idea of PJ Parties - I wasn't able to attend them all, but the ones I did attend, I really enjoyed and really liked what we did. After Labor day would be great. I'm afraid I don't have anything to teach, but really enjoy learning from all of you. Musiclady

• • • Are you KIDDING? What would a Friday night be without the PJ PARTIES? True, I wasn't able to get to them all but, I do plan to be there more this year. I may even have a project to teach this year. ▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲▼▲ Life without quilting is not an option! • • • • • MY Photos • • • • • • ENJOY! I love the idea even though I have hardly participated. For me it partly depends on the topic and how crunched I am with ongoing projects of my own. I do like being able to get started and finishing over the next couple of days if I can't keep up. I wonder if you want to wait until October when the weather starts to cool in many parts of the country. September in California is the 2 hottest month of our year, so I won't be anywhere near my sewing room at 5 PM when the parties start. I don't have any suggestions at this time. I will think if there is something I can teach. pb Butterflies float around my hillside

I love the idea of PJ parties & am really looking forward to participating in gusto! This means I'm going to have to move my sewing machine up to my bedroom & set up a table so that everything will be next to my computer, but I'm looking forward to the challenge. The only hard part I'm going to have is the start time- my work schedule will not allow me to get home until after the party starts. Hopefully things will still be getting started when I'm able to get in front of my computer. Happy Stitching All! Susan

I really enjoy the pj parties and wish I had something that I could teach all of you talented ladies. But I try to join in as often as I can.

Hi all, Just reading over all your comments. Purple butterfly's comments about starting in October seemed like a good idea. It is not that hot here in Sept, but with the Labor Day Holiday and many going to COF, I think I would like to start scheduling parties then. We could do October and November, take a Holiday break in December and resume in January. So I will start scheduling signups for the parties. So let the class signups begin, ladies. I love the pj parties and am disappointed when I have to miss 1...glad the instructions are posted & we are able to play catch up when we can! I applaud the 'teachers' cause I know it's a lot of work for them!! Mary, I'll try and think of something to teach and take one of the days, k? Glad they aren't starting til after COF!!! ****************************** Take time for kindness & for giving. Take time for friends & happy living! ****************************

So glad the PJ parties will be continuing - I generally look through the posts on Saturday - Fridays don't generally work for my schedule - I'm just too tired by the time it starts - but I've learned so much after the fact and saved the instructions for a later time.
Love the PJ parties! Now I have a laptop I don't have to run up and down the stairs! LOL Has anyone ever taught a pin cushion class? That could be fun. Thanks to all the teachers. Looking forward to October. I want to be the kind of woman that when my feet hit the floor each morning the devil says: "Oh NO! She's UP!"

Hooray Hooray! I am so happy to have something to do on Friday nights, count on me for every week as soon as they start. See you then. nuquiltr
I enjoyed the ones I was able to attend last year. I am interested in joining this year also.
about two years ago we made the cutest cat pinchusions, I made several for gifts. Look forward to new classes again this year, best way to spend a Friday night, off the streets and out of the bars
I would love to teach one but have no original ideas to share.
I get to the party the next day or so and really enjoy all the conversations and fun then. I want to make some sewing kits this year for Christmas. Does anyone have a new idea for such? Might make for a good lesson.
Glad to hear the parties will be on again. Looking forward to them. Also hope that the bobbin lace is offered again. Looking forward to fall and now not just for cooler weather. Be happy Be safe

Does anyone know tatting? I took a class once, but forget how to do it.

Sew Happy, Got your p.m. and it sounds great. Actually I think it will be a great class so you can pick a date. For everyone, just a refresher on what you should do when you host a Friday PJ party. 1. Let Mary know what your project will be 2. Announce the Monday prior to that Friday night that you will be hosting a PJ Party and give a list of supplies that each participant will need and if there is any prep work involved. 3. Make up your project with written step by step instructions with pictures. It is SO much easier if you have already worked up your project with details & have already taken pictures rather than do it during the party. 4. List the time (in your time zone) that the party will begin. In my case I usually started between 8:00/8:30 ETS. 5. About 15 minutes before the actual class is to begin start a BRAND NEW thread announcing that the PJ Party is beginning. This is where you will post all your info. 6. Make sure you have plenty of chocolate and goodies to share ... a little kahula and wine never hurts either Mary
OK Mary, I sent you another PM Keep calm and carry on Life is good!!! Patty (KD0ICU) In God We Trust http://s77.photobucket.com/albums/j66/PattyannC/

P J Parties? I have one thing to say - MORE! I'd like to see a party for a small zippered bag/pouch. "We are all here.....because we are not all there."
Hi all, Just scheduled Sew Happy -aka Patty - which will be how to do a pineapple block which she says will be super simple to make. Really sounds good to me. Mary
I enjoy the pj parties, sometimes checking in the next day. I've "taught" one - the tool caddy with an acrylic photo frame. Would be willing to do another, but can't think of a thing to do unless there's some interest in a quilted Kindle cover. Just moving this up....
I am looking forward to the pj parties again this year. I only missed one last year. They were such fun. Someone made an Ipad or e-reader cushion for setting your Ipad up on and posted a picture of it on the board. That looked like a great thing. All the teachers did such a great job. Thank you all. This message has been edited. Last edited by: Heartmania,

Would love a course on making Kindle or Nook covers. I have a Nook, my Mom has a Kindle.
That sounds like a good idea to me, kjstrouble. Anybody have a pattern they want to share and their expertise for a Friday nite. The girls will promise to behave... maybe? Mary
how about a kindle, nook, or Ipod pillow? Pretty please. Hugs "Insanity is hereditary. You get it from your kids."
Can't think of anything that I can teach this time, but will do some more thinking and watching this thread.
I keep getting surprised on this board, a "pj party"? Ok this is something I have to try. Sounds like fun and maybe a shopping time for supplies and of course new pj's
Welcome to our PJ parties Fleur55. It is a great place to learn/make projects. Only advice is to join in and have some fun. Once in a while, we have some ...rabblerousers, but that is o.k. Someone just passes the chocolate and wine and we keep going on. Sorry, I haven't been on so much. Seems like I have too much to do outside and have done some canning and freezing. Also will update the class schedule. ST in MT will be doing bottlecap pincushions. Love these projects where you can make these and give them for gifts. Mary PS - Any ideas for classes beginning in October. This message has been edited. Last edited by: fishingwidow,

I loved the fleece scarf that we did last year. Get alot of comments when wearing it.
How about inchies or ATCs?
Toryam, Inches or ATC.s would be a good project. I think maybe the bigger ATC's would be a good place to start since inches are small. I am thinking you could select a date for an ATC class. Then you could set up a swap - maybe for the upcoming holidaze. Any other ideas, ladies. Mary Mary

Running a little late but go ahead and I would love to join in with you gals. Edna " Pray is for the soul what nourishments is for the body."

I love the pj parties too! I don't get to join because of time but always check them on the weekend. Such great tutorials you ladies do!! Looking forward to the "pineapple" It looks so darn complicated and I'm so impatient when it comes to sewing!! Pam

HI LADIES I LOVE THE PJ PARTIES I HAVE NOT COMPUTER LAST YEAR BUT THIS YEAR I WILL BE THERE. I DID NOT DO THE ONE FOR CAT PINK CHUSHING I WILL LOVE TO SEE ONE DONE. HUGS ELY
Well, we are getting some classes listed. I think it might be a good idea to redo some of our past classes. Ely didn't get to do the cat pincushion. So what classes would you like to have again? Think of some of your favorites. Mary
