Haven't read through these in awhile. Saw where kjstrouble is interested in a Kindle/Nook cover. I can do a tute on one of those. Either Oct 19, Nov 2, or Nov 30.

And I THINK I have an e-reader pillow figured out. Let me play with it a bit and if so...and if there's a slot still open...

I'm sorry, Mary, I need the 12th instead, I'm so crazy . Believe it or not I actually pulled up my calendar and specifically thought to myself, "can't be the 5th..." lol.

And the e-reader pillow is a snap to make...I can add it as a bonus to the Kindle cover. (Sizes should be easily adjusted for the cover to fit your e-reader.) I got the pillow sewn up last night and was looking for something to fill it with. Hmmm...need some beads of some sort. No poly-beads in the house. DH doesn't have enough fishing leads - besides that would be heavy. Not near enough marbles. IDEA! Go to the kitchen and pull out the pinto beans I use for pie weights...not enough. Not enough rice either. I actually had a big unopened bag of macaroni in my hand. LOL giggle No I didn't. I'll wait for the poly-beads I guess.

I know this has been talked about on the board before, but does anyone want to do a Journal Cover?

Patty inquired about a Journal cover, and that sounds good to me too. So hope someone can do this one.

Hi all,

Moving this up. And just reading thru some other threads, saw soomeone's project that included flowers made in a previous PJ party. She said they were made in a Tom Russel Friday nite PJ party. I seem to have missed that one.

And wondered what you all thought of doing some repeats. Will have to ask JRD about that class. If we have instructions for it.

I would like to have a repeat on those warm and fuzzy sock slippers. They looked fun and cleverly put together but I didnt make them at the time and now I need them for my 96 year old mother. Anybody else want to do them?

e-reader pillow on October 5 unless someone else has something. This will be a quickie! Be looking for some of those poly beads...but I have no idea how many. LOL I stuffed my "prototype" with polyfill. So I have my beads to buy myself. I'll let you know how much. Online shows 1 lb (3 1/2 cups) for $1.99

Anyone willing to do the "Easy striped table runner"? I have the pattern and fabric and am scared to death to cut the fabric. It would be a good & fast tutioral, since it only has 5 seams. Just a thought, hope someone will do it, I would love to get started for Xmas gifts.......Michele I'm just not too sure of myself with the mirror cuts........

I could probably do shuttle tatting after xmas if none of the other tatters would like to teach it. I've never needle tatted though, so I can't teach that one!

Lucky 203, that is a beautiful runner, Could you take a portable mirror and hold it up where you think you need to cut just to see how it will turn out? I think that would work. I don't have that pattern, do you have the ruler? Hope someone can help you out. Pat

Ok! What is an easy stripe table runner? I always keep a table runner on the counter top in the kitchen to keep things from "clanking" so much. I can always use a new one.

I love these classes. This year for Christmas I am going to make some of those flannel backed, quilted scarfs that we learned how to make a few years ago. I'm going to try mine with fringe this time.

Gosh, it seems ages since I have been able to be on the thread and need to get caught up to date here.

See some good class ideas posted above. Lucky 203 has a easy strip table runner pattern. Grishko can do shuttle tatting after Chr*stmas, a repeat of the warm and fuzzy slippers and a request for a journal cover class. Lynne can do a small zipper pouch. So let's see what we can get scheduled here.

First I need one class yet on October 19, so can someone give a yell for that date.

And Nov. 30th is open.

Just to let you know that on Nove 9, I will be doing easy placemats. I did these for the COF challlenge. They didn't win anything as there were more detailed, artistic entries, but ladies, they are so fast and easy and I just love them. When I get home, and download photos, I will post pics.

But back to the matter at hand...let's get the two open dates filled up in October and November and then go from there.

Patty J, Yes, I would love a class in journal covers. I made some for some gardeners a few years ago but forgot how to make them.
I'd love to have a new class on them.

I have "sort-of" a tutorial that I put together for someone, for a simple journal cover.

Only problem is that the 2 dates that are open are both evenings that I work.
I work 3-11p every other Friday. If you're open to carrying into December, I could do it on December 7

Cute needle book??? Oh, yes! And the journal covers...they are beautiful and fit so well. The few I have made never fit very well. And the warm slippers would be wonderful too. Oh, this is just great.

If you need to, give October 5 to someone else! Those e-pillows are super simple and can be done with just a picture posted tute some other time.

We need more classes. Bump to the top.

Quiltbea, I would like to learn how to do those fractured blocks.

I may have another idea for another night but right now I have too many irons in the fire to do instructions and pictures. After the first weekend of November I should have time to figure it out and let you know if it would work for a party.

Ok, I will try and get this up to date. I am now home from COF (had to fly to DD#2 in Indy and drove home Friday) and need to get my acts together plus the house needs cleaned - DH was home alone for 2 weeks, but lets get to the important things first.

Quiltbea, I would love to schedule you for the fractured quilt blocks in January. How about Jan. 4 or 11th.

Angela C. - I did get you on the schedule for Dec. 7 for the Journal covers.

Luv those quilts - I think the needlebook project from the blog you know about would be a great idea. I need to get Oct and Nov scheduled so if you could do Oct 19 or Nov. 30 that would be great. So which one would you like to have.

And doing the Easy striped table runner that there was an interest in, who wants to do that one. If Lynne can do the needlebook on one of the 2 classes openings I have for Oct/Nov, maybe we could do the tablerunner the other class.

I think Angela C's Dec. 7 class would be the last one before Chr*stmas and we can then go into the New Year.

And Grishko said she can do needle tatting in the New Year.

And Sew Happy can let us know her idea after thinks slow down a little for her.

So let me know if I missed anything and we can get this moving.

I have been looking for several hours for the blog and keep getting some weird page that just shows other pages listed but not the blog...I did find a place with the instructions but I don't have the pdf for the pattern...again every time I find a place where they mention it I get that other page...just weird!
I have made it before...it is pretty quick and easy I just need to see if I can make a pattern so I can somehow get it to everyone who wants to make it...one hope is DH can find it when he gets home...doubtful but one can hope ...I am still in MI...(he came to visit YAY!) When he leaves I will attempt the pattern and make one to see if it will work...in the meantime I will attempt to find the pdf file for the template...wish me luck

Yayyy Angela C, thanks for hosting the Journal cover. I love the one I got at the retreat, but wanted to give one to a sister who journals and my grandaughter who writes books. And I didn't want to have to give up mine.
Fractured quilt block looks like an interesting concept.

I don't know if I will be in attendance as I am having company for the weekend, both DD#1, Laura, and DD#2, Angelinamor, and then going out of town for a week. My annual trip to Frankenmuth for a chic's weekend with my DD#2.
