Sew & Tell is our weekly sharing thread. Tell us what you've finished, what you're working on!

Friday! I'm so happy to see Friday! Knee replacement people will appreciate this- I took my first standing up shower in 3 months last night! No more shower chair- yay!

So who's sewing?
Holly

Haven't had much sewing time lately but it looks as if I will have some today. I have a partially pieced mini that's been teetering toward the trash can (ugly little bugger that I haven't a clue how to quilt). Maybe I'll at least finish piecing it and see if I still hate it.

Good progress Holly. Bozie, I can't believe any of your minis would be ugly. I think they're fantastic. Im still struggling with a baby quilt.. almost got the border quilted. Just can't keep at it.

Yea, Holly, you are making progress!Smile!

Oh Martha, I'm also struggling at the thought of one of your little treasures turning out ugly. Whatever you do, don't throw it away, there would be plenty of us happy to give the "ugly duckling" a good home Smile.

I'm working away on my Scraps to Treasures quilt along with many others that are in the challenge.

I made a few components to things at the COF Retreat in Branson and hope to finish up/integrate them into something soon. Nothing else until the challenge is done though.

Sherry, KeepYouInStitches, posted a number of pictures from the classes she took in Branson--that girl gets a gold star Star, well maybe a pink one Smile.

In the last month or two someone posted a link to a free Santa pattern by the Red Brolly website, and I've made it into a wall hanging.

Well the baby quilt is on hold till the hip gets some better. I have been cutting and sewing strips for DH a new quilt. His is getting a little thin and since it doesn't have to be perfect it takes no effort and doesn't hurt my hip. I will be trimming them at an angle so I don't have to line anything up. LOL can you say lazy hehehe.

• • • Would you believe I went to a quilting retreat and didn't get any sewing done? Well, that's exactly what happened. I did stitch a little during my class demo's, but that's all.

I picked up some real pretty threads at the quilt show for tatting and have played with that a little bit this week, but I still have to finish unpacking all my stuff from the retreat.

Fun projects everyone! And, isn't it great Holly when you get a part of normal life that you used to take for granted back? Good going!

I've been busy getting my quilting room set up, learning about Blogger and making to do lists. Last night I finished piecing a quilt for my cousin's 2 year old. When I started it 3 years ago it was intended for a different cousin's baby LOL...

Those bears are precious! What a wonderful memory gift.

I finally finished the quilting on my leaf quilt. The wedding is next weekend so I couldn't postpone the finishing stitches any longer.

OH! This is from a few weeks back, but because it was part of the FQ challenge during Branson COF I couldn't show it.

A new Kindle cover.

Such beautiful bags, bears, covers, quilts, pillows, table toppers, wall hangings, etc.

This week-end I made a set of simple coasters. I had made some for my co-workers a few years back & one says her son always has them in his room so I decided to make him a set all his own. He's an artist & loves bright colors.

I changed around the pattern so much. It is just a 15" bear.

If you pm me I will trace it off and send it to you.

I know the weekend is about over, but I'll add this anyway. I've been trying to go through a few things in the sewing room, and came across the blocks from a swap that Ithinksew coordinated. This swap had to have been at least 5 years ago, so I thought it was time to do something with them.

Ithinksew made 2 blocks, and I also have from solidgolddancer, quiltnanny, needprozac, byabasket, LisaP8, myjack, nr4crafts, and ball63. One block was the squares and triangles to make it, for us to assemble ourselves. I still see postings from a few of the names on the list, and of course Ithinksew has been gone almost a year now.

Ithinksew gave us specific colors she wanted used in the quilt, such as apple green and purple, along with kind of a royal blue and deep red, all on a cream tone background. I think she would have liked it.

Elsie, I like your bright and happy quilt. All the projects this week are really neat, thanks for sharing. I should get busy and finish something this week. Of course I might not have time, going fishing in Canada again for a week so I need to get ready for that too.

Wow Chris, you sure did a lot of sewing to piece all those blocks together. That is what I call using up those strings & crumbs too.

Neat coasters, like the bookcover, & really like both of those quilts. I love those maple leaf blocks!

I made a clothespin bag today because my son asked me to make one for him. I will get it in the mail to him tomorrow. I finished # 2 pillow cover & ready to start the 2 blue ones tomorrow. They will have cording as well as zippers so wish me luck. Wink

WQFC...lol...Andrew too normally but he has a partner who works fulltime just like he does so chores are shared equally. Notice I didn't make it to look pretty or "girlie"...didn't want to discourage him from actually using it.

Meant to say, Quiltnanny, I like your Talia quilt too. Some lovely quilts were made with those blocks. You can really miss Talia & others too who are no longer with us.
