I talked to Lindsay today & she said I won the quilt that headielamar made for the RMD quilt raffle. Oh my gosh, my heart is racing about a zillion beats per minute & won't stop. You can see the quilt on the COF blog (click on the quilty fun link at the top) and the pictures are over to the right hand of the blog.

It has been a true blessing & pleasure to have been a part of this retreat from afar.

I won the red beige and blue muted quilt made by quiltjen. It was hand quilted and it will hang in my sewing room and be enjoyed for years to come. I will show pictures as soon as I get home and get it hung up.

CONGRATULATIONS, Nicki! I ended up joining the retreat group at the last minute and it was so exciting to be at the drawing this morning for all of the lovely quilts.

We wish that you could have joined us, but appreciate all of your work and assistance to Lindsay that lead up to the retreat.

Wish that I could have brought the quilt back for you and driven it out to you in person! My bags were stuffed to the gills and if I had won one of the quilts, I would have been throwing away dirty clothes to make space for it. Or wearing it home on the plane as a shawl.

Congratulations to you too, Bunsie Big Grin, and all of the other lucky winners. It was fabulous to be there for the drawings!

Congratulations, Warmbuns on your win. Wasn't it just an exhilarating feeling to hear your name called? I know my heart skipped several beats when Lindsay called me & told me I won!

Just got a call from City Sandie telling me I was one of the raffle winners Smile. I have to wait until Wednesday to see what I won, that's when she will get home. It is going to be a long 3 days! I am so excited, thank you.

Congratulations Fleur55!!! Whatever you won will be wonderful. Just the thought of winning from all those tickets sold is amazing to me. I wonder how many total tickets were sold & what the total dollar amount was given to the RMD House.

I don't know the total dollar amount of the tickets sold, but it was over 3,000 dollars worth.
I wish to thank Lisa P8 for the lovely Black and Pink quilt that I won in the RMD raffel.

Way to go Lindsay and everyone who made it possible to raise that total amount for the RMH in 2012!!

If memory serves me right..

2008 - 1875.00 Durham, NC House
2009 - 3000.00 Dallas, TX House
2010 - 4,000.00 Stanford, CA House
2012 - 3651.00 Springfield, MO House
______

Total Raised for RMH in 4 years - $12,526.00

There is definitely strength in numbers!!

Let's not forget that Jayardi raised 4100.00 in 2011 for Muscular Dystrophy through quilts you all made!

And edited to add that Needlecrazy led us in a Hurricane Ike Relief fundraiser, raising 2300.00!!

And if you recall our 2005 , 2006, and 2007 fundraisers where we bought Christmas for needy children, bought back to school supplies for needy children and presented the Susan G. Komen Foundation with proceeds from one fundraiser...

Quilters... You have helped raise close to...............

$22,000.00 for charity in 7 years!!!

You all deserve a standing ovation for all of the time and effort you have put in to each and every fundraiser!!

I say thank you from the bottom of my heart!!!

Remember, we have a stepping stone on the playground at the Dallas, TX RMH!! Smile
