Here's my latest mini. I was trying to find an at least slightly different way to use star blocks. These are simple eight-pointed stars set on point with woven double sashes.

It's been a very busy week for me.

Finished the Project Quilting Challenge.
Finished a bunch of bindings.
Finished my doll quilts for Nlk's Mrs Clause drive.
Made a few neck coolers.
Worked on the COF Challenge, hoping to finish that today.

Tomorrow, I will start working on my Scraps to Treasures Challenge.
We started sharing peeks, please come and visit us.

Bozie - I love your mini! Is it just me or does that look 3-D? The green sashing kind of acts like a shadow. It gives it depth. Very nice optical effect.

Bozie, you've outdone yourself this time!! All those LITTLE points. Wow.

I made these three duffle bags for a friends daughter who graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree, it seems like she was just in diapers.

WOW Bozie every time I think is "can't get any better than that" You prove me wrong. This one is outstanding. What do you do with all you minis? Do you sell them?
Well I have been plugging along with my mystery BOM of Carl Doaks but with a DH in bad health and all the clore I have that he can't do any more It is taking some time. Hope to have some more time to sew tomorrow and maybe I will actually have a pic for you all.

Ah Bozie, I think that is my all time favorite. I love stars & color & that little mini is right up my alley.

Goldiesmom, what pattern did you use for your duffle bags? Those are really nice ones. I want to make some for Christmas for the gals in the office but haven't decided on a pattern yet.

Bozie, have you ever put on your own mini-quilt show? Perhaps when the fall's PJ Parties start again you could give us a class on a starter mini pattern and your wealth of tips on making mini-quilts!

Quiltinnana, I see what you mean about the 3D effect. It's more pronounced in real life because I quilted only in the ditch between the sashes so the stars are a little higher than the sashes - sort of centered on little pillows.

Kathleen, I'm flattered that you asked but I wouldn't know where to begin designing a class on making mini quilts. If there is enough interest I could show how I go about putting together some of the small blocks. It's pretty much the same as for larger blocks.

Didn't mean to ignore your question, Thimble lady. We were typing at the same time. I did paper piece one pineapple mini but most are just cut and sewn.

Bozie - I have to say this last one has to be my favorite - though it's really difficult to choose - tried to get DH to get off his ???? to come and look at it (I'm at the bank waiting my turn, not so patiently ) he asked me to send him a link.

I'd love for you to teach a mini pj class in the fall...will you, please?

Bozie they are all right - that is just wonderful .
My sew n tell is totally NOT fun and tell - I am repairing the left front pockets on 4 pairs of DNSILs levi's shorts... I don't know how he wrecks those but all along the tops are worn out - and of course he doesn't say anything until it's all raggedy and I'm using batting joining tape to hold the sides together! I have 1 spool of thread that is the exact color of those pants I keep just for that - but I think I better start looking for another spool!

I sympathize with you, Sandie. My sewing today is stitching my son's new uniform pockets closed and stitching the pleats closed. They've changed colors so a trip to the store may be required. I bought extra spools of his last thread color. These look more like a light blue-gray.

This is my scrappy quilt made with mostly scraps and fat eights I have been collecting. There are circles hand appliqued down. I just need to hand sew the binding down and it will be done. Ali/Shogun

I finally have a pic to show. It's the first color way of the mystery BOM I am doing for the Carol Doak site. They look orange but are actually Salmon.

Not much sewing. Volunteer gift wrapped for Fathers Day today to raise funds for the cat rescue group I volunteer for.

Then we went to see the Finely crafted Coral exhibit. Is beautiful "embroidered coral, fishes and other aquatic creatures. Was in an art gallery in St Pete.

My local quilt guild had a workshop on making hexagons without Y-seams.
This was my project made out of fat 8ths I got a JoAnns probably 7 or 8 yrs. ago. The rectangle is 30"x14". I'm previewing the borders.

Indycat Bet that was a fun workshop, I like the colors you used. Be sure to post when you get it finished. I'd love to see it.

Auntie Reba, yes, it is done in rows so you need a display wall to lay things out on so you don't get parts out of order.

Thank you for the compliments and all the great projects that peak my quilting senses. I get lots of Ideas from all of you but sorry Bozie minis are out of my league LOL I have enough trouble making full size quilts.
Now if i could just afford to have indycatcarol to quilt them I'd be in heaven for sure.

Only thing I've worked on is a new applique project. I've got it laid out and pinned and have begun the stitching. Man, I may have bitten off more than I can chew. Nothing like a little simple project for my real FIRST hand applique work!!!

Great projects again! You've all used fantastic colors/fabrics. This thread is always a great inspiration from beginning to end.

BOZIE! I love the colors!!! That would be wonderful in a people-size quilt for a child. Or me! But then it would have to be even larger.

goldiesmom - I need that fabric! LOL I'm going to make the grands ABC quilts for Christmas - youth bed size (baby bed mattress). I asked the mothers what colors to use to tie the quilts to the rooms...this is for 1st DGS. His DBs needs to be sage and brown. Next visit to DGDs I will take her bedroom curtain to Joanns.

I've seen that method for making hexes. It's waaay faster that the English paper piecing method...but I've already started one of those.

FFG, are you dabbing glue on your applique pieces to hold them down?

Florida Farm Girl, Your applique looks like it is coming along just fine. It is going to be great when you get all those flowers and vines stitched down. You will wonder what took you so long to start appliqueing? Be sure to show us when you finish her up. Pat

I just love when I have time to sit down and look at this thread. The projects are beautiful, mini stars, duffles, bom, hexs, lattice. Great job!

My project is not as colorful. I made a travel case for our wine & cheese picnics. I recycled a pair of old jeans and used a pattern for a sewing case (added a bit to the width). Works well, holds cutting board, cheese knife, flatware and of course a cork screw.

.... Fleur you forgot tomention the creativity ... THAT little pack is worth selling a pattern for .. it's wonderful and looks so handy. Welcome to sew and tell - also THIS looks like it is stashbusting, so if you didn't post there - please do.
