Decided on the disappearing 9 patch. Quilt will be king size! What size should the squares be to show off the "patch" best?

Thanks!

Geee, I'm sorry I don't have an answer, but I'm thinking someone will be on over the weekend so I'll bump it up. I'm making a king sized quilt now and the block size I'm using is 10 inches square---It is a Double Irish Chain. Don't know if this helps.

I just did a search for Disappearing nine patch directions and came up with the site called Popular Patchwork Quilts. In the directions it says that 7 inch squares will yield a 9 1/2 inch block. Hope this helps Pat

Any that I have made have been from "nickels"...
Just because those numbers work for me, they have become a standard in my house. And I usually put a black square in the middle...another just because...
Good luck with it and have fun~ You will be amazed at how fast it goes once you have your piles ready to speed piece!
