Don't forget to use a THIN batting in your placemats. Quilt as desired. Then use your favorite finishing technique - pillowcase method, bind, add border and bind, or use the "picture frame" method we learned last year during a PJ party.

I really wanted to join this party. I had my FQ's cut and was getting ready to join and DH decided it was time to process the deer DGS had gotten a week ago. So I spent the party time bagging ground deer to freeze. I have the instructions written down and I will try to make mine tonight.
In order to see the rainbow, first you must endure the rain.
I really got caught up in these placemats. I made similar ones for Gary and I last summer but I pieced them. This was sooooo much easier and quicker.
Got my tops done but gotta wait 'til the 'chine can get repaired before I can finish them. The cable connection for my camera to the computer decided to give up the ghost also; no way to show you what I did......unless......
I made some Mug Rugs with the same fabrics/pattern. Them I can scan on the printer and post here. So here's my matching mug rugs for my placemats. These were also a breeze to make. Finished they'll be 5 x 6. Good size for a cup and some cookies.
ETA: My apologies to whomever gets these posts as an email. I couldn't get the photos adjusted to where I wanted them. This message has been edited. Last edited by: paus4quilts,
I quilted my mats but still have to take a picture of them. Will do that later today and post it here. I used them as samplers for my Craftsy FMQ class
