I just saw the movie Secretariat for the first time, and learned some wonderful words of wisdom from Miss Hamm, Ms. Chenery's father's secretary.

Ms. Chenery's father has just died, she is facing losing the farm, the horses, and mourning all the losses in an empty barn:

Miss Hamm comes up to her and says in a quiet, comforting voice, "There are words that have sustained me in my darkest hour...would you like to hear them?"

"Yes, I would Miss Hamm."

Miss Hamm moves close to her, puts her hands on her shoulders, leans into her ear, and gently says, "Good Morning K-Mart Shoppers."

That was a wonderful scene, wasn't it? lollll

I saw the movie but I dont remember the scene.

It must have stuck in my subconcious though because everytime I feel really down, I go fabric shopping and feel instantly better. I think I must have heard her say "Welcome Joann Shoppers"
