Kjstrouble,

I sew for myself so I could make a pilow myself. I just needed some ideas. I looked at Hobby Lobby this morning and found some ideas I plan to try.

Those robots are soooo cute.
Bozie, I'm amazed again this week what a beautiful mini. So glad that you can share them with us each one better than the last. Not one of them that I don't love.
All the projects this week are great looking.
Sue and I are still working on the king sized dbl. Irish chain in blues that we were working on last week all the blocks are sewn and just waiting to get put into rows and a top, hopefully.

Finally finished the boot quilt that was inspired by EvelynB. This is a gift for my brother who lives in Texas.

One more...
The back. My brother and I grew up in NE Ohio. Our grandparents lived in Louisiana and our grandfather used to send us horned toads and box turtles. The poor mailman would show up at the door with a box full of holes that was scratching! Probably totally illegal now (and maybe then!) Anyway, we loved the "critters" so when Evelyn said she often quilted geckos, I thought that was very appropriate. The back is black, not gray like the picture looks. Lots of firsts for me - first time I have quilting that I wanted to show, first time I have FMQ with a design, first time I have used different colors of quilting thread, first time I have had blocks which weren't symmetrical. I can easily say I learned a lot on this quilt! Thanks to all who offered ideas and more importantly, encouragement especially EvelynB and imaquilter.
Susan

This thread is always great, but the "shows" this week are especially, extra fabulous!!!

Good luck, Jayardi.
Congrats on the fabric, goldiesmom. Smile
and Kim, Handie, Penny, stm1804, Marion2, KYIS, Purple Butterfly, Auntie Reba, Sandy O, Bozie, kjstrouble, cksvett, bonnieg...thank you for sharing all your amazing projects. You all inspire me and give me more ideas than I'll ever be able to use. Beautiful projects!

I've been working on grandson's 'big boy bed' quilt. He loves puzzles so this pattern is perfect..

Everything you all have shown looks great, as usual.

stm, the stars in your sashings almost look like the rowels (isn't that the right word?) on spurs.

Wow! Love the boot quilt. Your piecing is awesome. The quilting is delightful! I adore the geckos. Can't help but love those geckos. Bet your brother will love them too. I love that we all inspire each other here. A Texan needs his boots and lizards!

No kit, these were the scraps left over from this quilt i made this past month..
The pattern came from
www.quiltsmart.com
They also have a smaller "mondo bag"
The fabric line i used is "simple pleasures"
Does that help?
