Judy Laquidara has started the feather classes on her blog. http://www.patchworktimes.com/
She is doing them on her longarm but there are loads of tips that can apply to regular home machines. The feathers are being demo'd on her Carpenter Star pattern (free pattern on her site). All the posts can be found under her group projects tab (you might find other upcoming projects that interest you here too)! She does have a picture of one of her carpenter stars completely quilted on her blog (you can also use her search box on her blog to see it). I worked a bit ahead with the pictures and tips she has posted to complete my carpenter star quilt. Here is a picture of it. I really enjoy her blog and learn lots from it.

Amazingly beautiful....Are your colors blues? or navy blues/light blue or is that purple/lavender/navy? My eyes or my screen deceive me...

All of the fabrics in the top were older ones in my stash. The multicolored one is by Jinny Beyer. It is shaded with purple and greens (the greens do go to blue-green). It is too bad that I had to "downsize" the picture so much to post it--the detail is much less than the original picture!

Just beautiful - as usual. How about a close-up? Your quilting always inspires me!
Thanks,
Susan
