I found my fabric for my Aunt's quilt!

I posted a picture of it here last month; because I needed a piece to complete the border...but no luck.

I posted a picture at www.missingfabric.com and no luck.

So, I send an email to the system administrator of www.fabshophop.com and they sent it out to all of their individual merchants. I had already done a search using their search engine...but no luck.

Got an e-mail today from Arbuckle Appliance and Fabric in Indiana. Can you imagine!...an appliance store had it!

Two and a half yards! Yeah!...I am SOOOO Happy!

Glad you got the fabric that you needed. I was curious and had to look up Arbuckle's. If I'm ever in the area, will have to stop by and check them out!

You know that purple fish fabric I was looking for? Well I put it on missingfabrics.com which address I believe YOU had given me. Someone just wrote me last week and they had some of the coordinating fabric so I said YES! and am getting it soon. Thanks for that reference.

Arbuckles is in Noblesville, IN in an old train station. I knew they sold fabric and sewing machines but I didn't realize they sold appliances. They were going to close but maybe since they have "reorganized" they are also carrying appliances. When I was looking for a certain fabric that others stores didn't carry that is where I stopped and found it.

I don't mind coming to work. But that 8 hr. wait to go home is a drag.

Happy dance for you!
And, this shop, Arbuckle's, looks like a fun place to visit. Wish I lived closer. Don't kow if they sell online, so I sent an email to "Sew Conductor".

I used to go to Arbuckle's with my mom when I was little. My sister and I played outside while mom shopped. (That was before everyone was scared that their kids would be kidnapped. Oh, how times have changed! Frown) As for appliances, last time I was in there, it was mostly sewing machines and vacuums. LOTS of fabric. And their version of a yard is more like 38-40". Wink The owner is a very nice older gentleman who is wearing a suit and tie every time I've ever seen him. His daughter works there, and everyone is so nice. They have a play area for kids and a big barrel of buttons that they don't mind the kids playing with either. If you're ever in the area, do yourself a favor and stop by. (And let me know and I'll swing by and say hi! Big Grin)

Funny things:
Me: "It's time for bed and I want you to be quiet."
Son: "Well... I don't know... but I'll try."

CQ-- there's lots to do in Noblesville. And there's another LQS now too! Big Grin

The ladies in there are so friendly. The first time I was in there they made me feel so welcome! (And they have little hand carts so you can carry bolts around the store without your arms going numb!)
